Where to find your nearest Warm Spaces hub
Open to all

With funding from the Welsh Government, we have established the “Warm Spaces” initiative. Throughout the Wrexham area, community buildings are getting on board and offering warm spaces to residents.

As well as Wrexham libraries and Wrexham Wellbeing Hub taking part, 19 community based organisations are offering hubs where people can get warm, take part in activities and receive a warm drink or even a hot meal.

Activities and support

The initiative runs from now until mid-March and there is a schedule of activities on offer at the hubs taking part. This includes board games, jigsaws, craft activities or just a place to have a warm drink and meal free of charge.

Another aim is to also tackle community inclusion and loneliness.

Support and advice from agencies such as Citizens Advice and Warm Wales will be available at certain sessions.

Councillor David A Bithell, Chair of the Cost of Living Working Group, said “It is an understandably difficult time for many residents across the community of Wrexham during the current cost of living crisis. With this in mind, it is important that we let our residents know that we have the Warm Spaces hubs open to them in a bid to help out in some way during the winter months. This is a prime example of how the people of Wrexham come together and support each other during trying times. I want to thank all the teams and community hubs involved in making this happen.
