This closure is necessary to facilitate pipe-laying works as part of the Southern St. George Water Supply Expansion Project.
As a result, the following traffic arrangements will be implemented:

โ€ข All vehicles, ๐ž๐ฑ๐œ๐ž๐ฉ๐ญ trucks and other large vehicles e.g. trailers, will not be permitted to travel north along the Grand Anse public roadw from its intersection with Mont Toute public road (near the Food Fair traffic light).

โ€ข Vehicles traveling from the southernmost part of the island will be diverted via Mont Toute public road, continue through Karland Park, and exit onto the Golf Course public road.
All other Traffic arrangements remain the same.
The Royal Grenada Police Force encourages the cooperation of all in this regard.

Prohibition of Ski-Masks and Other Face Covering During Carnival

The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) informs all citizens and visitors that the wearing of masks or face coverings that conceal oneโ€™s identity is strictly prohibited during carnival festivities.

While we fully support cultural expression and creativity through costumes and traditional wear, it is important to note that full-face coverings, such as ski masks and balaclavas that obscure identity and hinder facial recognition pose significant security risks and are therefore not permitted.

Vendors are also asked to refrain from selling such masks or similar items.

This precaution is necessary to ensure public safety, prevent criminal activity, and maintain order throughout the celebrations.

The RGPF remains committed to ensuring that Spicemas 2025 is safe, enjoyable, and secure for all. We urge everyone to celebrate responsibly and to cooperate fully with law enforcement personnel.

The Traffic Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force hereby notifies the general public that the following traffic arrangements will be in effect for the Groovy and Soca Monarch Finals on Friday, 8th August 2025.

-These arrangements will be in effect from 6:00 p.m. until conclusion of the event.

-All vehicles entering the National Stadium will use the Queenโ€™s Park Ring Road from its intersection with Cherry Hill.

-No vehicular traffic will be allowed to enter the National Stadium from the Green Bridge entrance.

โ€ข The Ring Road from its junction with Mt. Rush public road to the direction of the Hump Back Bridge.
โ€ข Top of Mt. Rush to the Stadium.

Vending will only be allowed on the sea side of the main public way along the western corridor in the area close to the mobile barber shop.
