2024’s first playlist is called “Life is a horizontal fall”, such a poetic definition by ambient artist Canaan Balsam. 15 songs and 60 mins. New material from Dina Ögon, Jordan Rakei, Black Grape (Happy Mondays’ Shaun Ryder), Joel Ross, Yussef Dayes and some 2023 stuff from Fulgeance, Sudanese keyboardis wizard Jantra, Labelle, Irish folkers Lankum (can’t get over them), Fantastic Twins and Ricardo Villalobos’ reimagining of A Mountain of One. Bit electronic, bit jazzy, bit ambient - as always.

Cumartesi Istanbul’un en yenilikci restoranı ve en iyi listening roomu .ist’da caliyorum. Normalde insanlar dans etmezse kaygısıyla çalamadığım en özel world music, jazz vb. şeyleri seçtim. Yine de dans edicez korkmayın, ama başka bi tune’a edicez. Karayipler, Afrika, Jamaika, Mauritius, sega, compas, cadence. Çıkışta zenci olarak çıkıcaz. Görüşelims.
