MACON, Georgia (KBTV) - The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an assault that happened Wednesday, June 4, leaving 1 inmate dead and 4 injured. The assault happened inside of the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. The inmates that were injured in this incident were identified as: 40-year-old Willie James Haugabrook III, 19-year-old Brandon Carnell Willis, 22-year-old Breele Jahiem Johnson, 22-year-old Stacey Motez Mathews, and 22-year-old Isaiah Joshua Bailey. Johnson passed away. All other inmates were treated. The GBI is assisting the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
