By now, you have probably seen the tragic news that Political Activist, Conservative leader, and Founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated yesterday afternoon at an event in Utah.
I first followed Charlie Kirk my junior year of high school. He gave me courage to speak my truth, motivation to be a better version of myself, and pushed me to be stronger in my faith. His entire goal was to spread God’s word and allow for questions to be answered; he gave a safe space for people to ask questions and challenge themselves politically.
I am disgusted with this heinous act of violence against him. It was obviously politically motivated and I pray now for Charlie’s family, his friends, his followers, and for this world.
Let me make myself VERY CLEAR, if anyone finds joy in this tragedy. Get out of my discord, unfollow me on twitch/facebook, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out. I do not want anyone in my community who condones such disgusting and abhorrent behavior.
Tonight I am changing up my stream schedule. I will be going live this evening, 7pm EST to just talk. To discuss world events, to give a safe space to vent and communicate, and I want to pray for the world tonight. Twitch, and my community, is more than just video games. It’s a chance to grow as individuals and as a community and I want to further that ability tonight. I don’t care who you are or what you believe. We can come together and be sad, but give hope to one another when it’s feeling like there is none. I ask that you all please be respectful if you come by and if you don’t want to talk, listen. If you don’t want to listen, that’s okay too.
