🚨 BREAKING NEWS | AdMU-JHS Sanggu Chairperson secretly resigned "two weeks ago"

Speaking to multiple reliable sources within the AJHS Sanggunian (Sanggu-JHS), Moist Media has discovered that the chairman of the student government resigned two weeks ago in an internal move that has not been publicly announced. "It's very subtle," commented one source.

The cause of the resignation may possibly be traced back to an alleged scandal, involving inappropriate acts committed by the chairman in the Athletics Council room of the Office of Student Activities (OSA), that surfaced last month in a series of posts on the AHS Freedom Wall.

A reliable source within Sanggu-JHS previously intimated that impeachment papers were being drafted for the accused chairman. Those efforts come to an end, however, as the chairman steps down, leaving in his place a proposed new co-chairmanship structure, worded as a "vice chair, now held by two people," to be headed by two members of the Sanggu-JHS Executive Board.

No official comment is forthcoming from the Sanggu-JHS and the school administration.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS | SHS Administrators allegedly hit AEWU

Around 7:00 PM on April 13, 2023, a post by a student came out on the AHS Freedom Wall, alleging that they overheard two members of the Ateneo de Manila Senior High School (ASHS) administration discussing negatively about the "employees [sic] union," presumably referring to the Ateneo Employees and Workers Union (AEWU).

The poster alleged that the administrators, in a "mocking tone," began to name specific names or "instigators" of unspecified activities, in addition to saying that the union had little purpose ("misguided...walang silbi").

As of writing, several ASHS students have reacted negatively to the post. AEWU President Mondie Tano has also commented on the post, sending an infographic titled "Reasons to Thank A Union".

While regular negotiations between AEWU and the University have resumed as of April 11 and have agreed on permanent wage increases for the fourth and fifth years of their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), no final set of terms has been reached and meetings with the National Conciliation and Mediation Board, the next of which is on April 14, will continue.

Thus all AdNU classes and work for pre-school, grade school, junior high school and senior high school (both synchronous and asynchronous) are automatically suspended this afternoon, Tuesday, April 11. 🚨 BREAKING NEWS | ATENEOCORD CONGRESS DISSOLVES

The Administrators have dissolved the Seventh AteneoCord Congress. Citing the current state of Parliament as unstable and dire, we no longer believe that parliament can exercise its duties and commitments under current circumstances.

All sessions are to be suspended until the 8th Congress takes over this April 20th, all of the bills still awaiting Parliament vote will be moved to the 8th Congress this April 20th.

Let us retrace the sorrowful and agonizing steps Jesus took as he went up the hill of Calvary to be sacrificed for the salvation of the world.

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University invites everyone for the Way of the Cross this Friday, March 31, 2023, 3 PM around the AdZU Salvador Campus grounds.

As one community, let us follow Christ on the path towards the Cross and witness God’s unfathomable love for us as He offers His only begotten Son for the forgiveness of our sins and the cleansing of our spirits.
