Hearts of Oak Announce the Signing of Defender Ali Mohammed from Vision FC
Accra Hearts of Oak is delighted to announce the signing of promising defender Ali Mohammed from fellow premier league side Vision FC.
He signed a two-year deal with the glorious club.
The 23-year-old joins the Phobians after catching the eye of newly-appointed head coach Didi Dramani, who had closely monitored the defender's progress.
His acquisition adds depth and energy to the Phobian backline as the team prepares for a fresh start under Coach Didi Dramani.
Ali Mohammed’s journey to the top is one of resilience and steady growth. He began his career at the AshantiGold youth side before moving to Berekum Arsenal, where he continued his development. He later returned to Ashgold and earned a spot in the senior team, gaining valuable Premier League experience.
His career took him to Tamale City for a season, followed by a solid campaign with Accra Lions. His performances earned him a move to Vision FC, where his composure, progressive play, and pressing abilities drew attention from top clubs across the country and beyond.
Ali has revealed that he has been following Hearts of Oak closely—thanks in part to his "brother", Kelvin Osei Asibey, who is already a fan favourite at the club.
“I’ve always watched Hearts because of my "brother" Kelvin, and I admire the energy and passion in the team.
Joining this great club is a dream come true. I’m here to work hard, learn, and help the team achieve great things,” Ali said.
Known for his ball-playing abilities and tactical awareness, the young defender is expected to fit perfectly into Coach Didi Dramani’s system. He has already joined his new teammates for pre-season ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, as Hearts of Oak gear up for what promises to be an exciting season.
Welcome to the Phobia Family, Ali Mohammed!
