As humans, we have our own expectations and beliefs about what we want. We often think we know exactly what must happen for us to receive what we yearn for. Unfortunately, we are limited by experience and wrong beliefs that are not rooted in divine truth.
I come from a broken home, so I took my destiny into my own hands at a very young age.
At 16, I was living alone as a secondary school girl. I’m a solution-oriented person, so anytime I needed something, I would find a way—even if it meant lying or manipulating to get my way.
When I decided to allow Jesus to take control of my decision-making, it felt like death—like cutting my flesh with a sharp knife. I didn’t have the patience to wait until He spoke or inspired me to move. I would take matters into my own hands and make the situation worse—until I finally gave up 🤣.
Obeying His instructions was hard, but trust me, it’s worth it. Jesus is wiser than you. He knows you better than you know yourself. He knows exactly what it takes for you to fulfill His destiny for your life (Jeremiah 1:5). Trust His instructions, trust His process, trust His timing, and trust His modus operandi (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Jesus loves you, and He will never give you a snake if you ask for a fish.
Are you ready to totally surrender and allow Jesus to lead you through His Spirit?
Welcome to a life of dying to self, which brings glorious resurrection—a life of security and endless love. It’s a life that may feel confusing at times but is certain in its ultimate fulfillment.
Don’t surrender to your selfish ambitions; they will eventually fail you. But Jesus is a solid rock. When you build your life on Him, you will continue to stand firm—even when everything around you is shattered. AGO ABOAGYE ☝🏽
