GNFS RESCUES TRAPPED VICTIM IN A BYPASS ROAD CRASH AT ADASOASE

The Anyinam Fire Station responded swiftly to a road traffic accident on the under-construction Accra–Kumasi Bypass at Adasoase on 7 January 2026.

A Toyota Tacoma crashed into an unfinished bridge after mistakenly entering the incomplete road. Firefighters rescued a trapped male casualty and handed him over to the Ambulance Service, while another victim had been rescued earlier by passers-by.

The incident, which caused severe damage to the vehicle, was attributed to overspeeding.

Two Arrested After Attempting To Smuggle Vehicles Into Zimbabwe:

Two male foreign nationals were apprehended after a shootout with SANDF members while trying to smuggle stolen vehicle to Zimbabwe.South African National Defence Force members were patrolling around Madimbo area when they came under fire .A shootout occurred between the suspects and SANDF members.

Three luxury vehicles were intercepted on its way to Zimbabwe at an illegal crossing area.A Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Hilux and A Volvo were recovered and handed to SAPS members.

The two arrested foreign nationals will appear in court.

Anthony Joshua's Driver Charged

Anthony Joshua's Driver Blames Brake Failure for Fatal Crash: 'It Was an Accident'"

Anthony Joshua's driver, Adeniyi Kayode, has spoken out about the fatal car crash that killed two of the boxer's friends, claiming brake failure was to blame. "I wasn't overspeeding or driving recklessly. My brake failed. I kept pushing the pedal. What happened was an accident," Kayode said. He's been driving Joshua for three years and denies any wrongdoing.

The crash occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, killing strength coach Sina Ghami and personal trainer Latif Ayodele, both 36. Joshua, who was in the vehicle, escaped with minor injuries.

Kayode faces charges, including causing death by dangerous driving, and could face life in prison if convicted.
