This is an electrical breaker cubicle with severe thermal damage and contamination. It requires cleaning, insulation testing, possible busbar repair/replacement, and investigation of what caused the damage before the breaker can be safely put back in service.
General Condition
• The compartment is dirty and heavily carbonized.
• Insulation surfaces have visible tracking marks, which reduce dielectric strength.
• Bolts, terminals, and brackets show signs of corrosion.
• This condition is unsafe and may lead to partial discharge, arcing, insulation failure, or a complete phase-to-phase fault if energized in this state.
