From average student to first class and best graduating student 👏

She was placed in an "evil row" where she encountered unforgettable experiences.

Someone made her feel less of herself.

Fast forward, her hard work, perseverance, and motivation made her defy the odds.

Meet my mentee: Mabel Ayi-Annum who is my “ valedictorian” - well, she rather prefers to be called the best graduating student in her field of study.

I have had the privilege of listening to Mabel's transformation, and it's been nothing short of inspiring.

As I had the conversation with her, I couldn't help but notice the fire in her eyes.

She's a clear example of what happens when determination meets talent.

Our conversation was a deep dive into her academic and career journey, and I was blown away by her resilience, willingness to learn and acknowledging all who helped her along the way.

Mabel's story is a testament to the power of believing in oneself, even when the world tries to dim your light.

I'm honored to be playing a part in her growth, and I'm excited to see the incredible things she'll achieve next.

A big thank you to Toyota Ghana, Blossom Academy and all who played and are playing a role in getting Mabel to realise her full potentials.

When I am playing Ludo with my family, in the beginning, we are hungry to get a 6.

When the dice bring 1 or 2, we’ll shout out in disappointment. But a 6 was always welcomed with immense joy.

We'll move our pieces forward, progressing till we reach a point where we needed just 1 point to win.

Suddenly, the 6 that once brought us joy became irrelevant. What was once coveted now became a nuisance, and all we yearned for was "1 on the Ludo."

Just like in life, every effort, no matter how small, contributes to our progress. Some days, what we want may not come, but trust that what we're dismissing now might become crucial later, propelling us toward our breakthrough.

I’m currently on an exciting journey as a mentor with Blossom Academy ’s Digital Marketing Mentorship Program, and I couldn’t be more fulfilled.

Working closely with these brilliant young professionals— Amina Adusei, MAYLOVE MARQUAYE , Deborah Yomle Narh, Emmanuel Annor, and Mabel Ayi-Annum—has been both inspiring and rewarding.

From different academic backgrounds, they bring unique energy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to grow.

Together, we’re exploring everything from personal branding and LinkedIn optimization to job scouting, freelancing, and hands-on digital marketing tools.

Thank you to Blossom Academy for the opportunity to contribute to such meaningful work. The future of digital marketing in Ghana is in good hands!

Thank you Jeph B. Acheampong and the whole team.

Where you do your national service can significantly shape your career path.

I recently visited the Accra office of AmaliTech, and I was thoroughly impressed by what I experienced.

From the welcoming environment to the forward-thinking infrastructure, it’s clear that AmaliTech is more than just a workplace—it’s a launchpad for young tech talent.

A major highlight is their Training Academy, which prepares young people for careers in software development and data engineering. It’s a practical, hands-on programme that bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.

With operations also in Rwanda and its headquarters in Germany, AmaliTech is on a mission to drive social and economic transformation in sub-Saharan Africa. Their commitment to nurturing local talent to meet global standards is evident in every aspect of their setup.

This year, they are offering 100 national service slots for final-year students studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology. If you’re eligible for national service this year and want to start your tech career strong, this is for you.

The benefits are outstanding:
• Double the national service allowance, plus a lunch allowance
• AWS certification training
• Brand new workstation (laptop, monitor, headphones), high-speed internet, and licensed software
• Inclusive workplace culture with events, bonding activities, and year-end bonuses
• Access to mentorship, career counseling, and job placement support
• Opportunity for full-time employment post-programme—with a 65–85% retention rate based on performance

With locations in Accra, Kumasi, and Takoradi, AmaliTech is offering not just a placement, but a real chance to kickstart your tech career.
