Her Excellency Mrs. Annika Hahn-Englund, Sweden’s Ambassador-Designate to Ghana presented her Letter of Credence to the President of Ghana, making her the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic Ghana.

During the ceremony, the President congratulated Ambassador Hahn-Englund on her appointment and indicated the readiness of the Government of Ghana to support her in the discharge of her duties. He further tasked her to strengthen the bilateral and multilateral relations between Ghana and Sweden.

Ambassador Hahn-Englund assured the President of her commitment to deepen the relations between Ghana and Sweden and expressed her gratitude for the acceptance of her Letters of Credence.

Ambassador Hahn-Englund was accompanied by her husband, Sweden’s honorary Consul-General in Accra, and the Embassy’s Trade and Business Promotion Officer.

The ceremony was witnessed by some senior Officials at the Office of the President and the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong (MP)

Spain and Ghana, Moving forward together

First class session of UBC Sauder LIFT - Ghana 3.0 started on Friday. The University of British Columbia Sauder LIFT is a socially impactful international activity that has trained over 800 entrepreneurs in developing countries.

The goal of this program is to fuel entrepreneurship among individuals as participants create or improve their own ventures. Congratulations to all entrepreneurs participating in this year’s program. The next few months is going to be such a wonderful and life-transforming journey.

I will be hosting LIFT 3.0 for the next couple of weeks, together with a team of volunteers who will aid The Sauder Business School in delivering this program to young people in Ghana.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2023 is a month-long global campaign dedicated to educating individuals about breast cancer and encouraging proactive measures for early detection. It aims to empower women and men to take charge of their breast health and provides a platform for advocacy and support for breast cancer patients and survivors.

I had the privilege to host the maiden edition of under the theme, EARLY DETECTION, - EARLY CURABILITY.

I humbly encourage everyone to get screened regularly, as you can be cured of breast cancer if detected early.

According to the Chief Physician Assistant at Abetifi Presbyterian Health Center, Mr. Mark Adubrah, the following ways can help detect breast cancer 🎀 for early treatment.

1. Self-Exams: Perform regular breast self-exams to become familiar with your breasts and promptly report any changes to your healthcare provider.

2. Clinical Exams: Schedule regular clinical breast exams with your healthcare provider.

3. Mammograms: If you are of screening age, schedule and undergo regular mammograms as recommended by your healthcare provider.

Over the past five years, TGLC has become a beacon of hope and inspiration for young Africans seeking to make a difference in their communities and beyond. The center's mission of raising leaders, reorienting mindsets, and fostering a culture of selflessness and integrity has resonated deeply with the emerging generation of leaders.

During the 5th anniversary celebration and leadership forum, young leaders had the opportunity to learn from experienced mentors, engage in meaningful dialogue, and gain fresh perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing Africa today.

As a aspiring leader of the 2023 cohort of The Graced Life Leadership Center, i had the opportunity to host the ceremony with Daniella.

I'm super grateful to the Executive Directors, Founders, Sector Leaders, Aspiring leaders and the entire team at TGLC for fuelling our dreams.

The Embassy of Germany in Ghana Celebrates Day of German Unity 2023 in Accra

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ghana celebrated the German-Ghanaian cultural festival on the occasion of the Day of German Unity on 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 5th 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 in Accra. Beyond showcasing various facets of German culture, society, politics, and economy, the primary objective of the event was to foster a sense of togetherness, mutual understanding, knowledge exchange and celebrate Legendary Ghanaian Highlife musicians. The event helped to deepen and cultivate partnerships, with the belief that this collaborative approach will pave the way towards shaping the bilateral relationship between Ghana and Germany.

Speaking at this year's German Ghanaian Cultural Festival, held to mark the Day of German Unity, Ambassador Krull affirmed Germany's commitment to assisting in the development of this “new gold” – the young and ambitious youth – for the advancement of Ghana. The Day of German Unity commemorates the historic reunification of East and West Germany. It marks the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, reuniting loved ones after decades of separation and allowing people to travel freely within Germany. On this day, Germans reflect on their hard-earned reunification and their desire to build a cohesive community while celebrating the country's diverse customs and identities.

Ambassador Krull stressed the importance of fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership among the youth to address various challenges and unlock the continent's potential for growth.
In attendance to the event was the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana (AHK Ghana), Members of the Diplomatic Corps-Ghana, Government Officials, the Media as well as many other German institutions and companies active in Ghana.

The night saw electrifying performance from Wiyaala, Black Prophet, Okyeame Kwame, Crazy Keys and Souly Bird, Andy Dorsty and the Legendary hall of famer,-Charles Amoah.
