Immigration Officer Allegedly Assaults A Pastor At Midnight.

In the early hours of January 31, 2025, an Immigration Officer allegedly assaulted a Pastor near his church premises in Mamprobi area, Accra. The incident occurred around 1:00 AM, when the officer who goes by name Bismark Nyaney, reportedly beat the Pastor to a pulp. The officer claimed he attacked the Pastor because the pastor had spoken to his fiancée.

The injured Pastor who was unconscious was rushed to the Mamprobi Hospital at approximately 1:45 AM for immediate medical attention.

The matter has been reported to the Shukura Police Station and the Police has issued a medical form to the Pastor who is now receiving treatment.

An investigation is expected to be opened.

🚨 Traffic Alert: Major Delays on Mallam-Kasoa Highway 🚨

Early this morning, a spoiled trailer truck has caused major traffic congestion on the Mallam-Kasoa highway, very close to the Weija Junction traffic light. The truck has been left unattended, resulting in a massive traffic jam stretching from Weija Junction to Mallam Junction as early as 12 PM. Authorities have not yet addressed the situation.

A driver on the road remarked, "The driver of the truck is just sleeping under it." There is concern that the traffic will double in the evening.

Commuters, please be advised to seek alternative routes if possible to avoid the gridlock. Authorities have been notified, and we hope the situation will be resolved soon.
