✝️ THE 2026 ANNUAL YOUTH CAMP — A GRACE-FILLED CONCLUSION
Today, the 2026 Annual Youth Camp came to a beautiful and spiritually uplifting conclusion with the celebration of the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, bringing together our young people, clergy, and faithful in thanksgiving to God for the blessings received throughout the camp.
In the presence of the local chiefs, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by our spiritual father and shepherd, His Eminence Metropolitan Archbishop Daniel of Accra, whose presence among the youth throughout this sacred gathering was a profound blessing and encouragement to all.
As the camp came to an end, the faithful gathered around the Holy Altar in prayer and thanksgiving, offering to God not only the fruits of the past days but also the hopes, aspirations, and commitments of a new generation of Orthodox Christians.
In his closing remarks, His Eminence expressed his great joy at seeing the youth taking up responsibilities within the Church. He encouraged them to understand that their participation is not simply about occupying positions, but about offering themselves in love, humility, service, and faith for the building up of the Body of Christ.
He reminded everyone that the Orthodox Church is a Church of love—a love that is rooted in Christ, expressed through service, forgiveness, unity, sacrifice, and genuine care for one another. It is this love that must guide our relationships with God, with our families, with our fellow faithful, and with the world around us.
His Eminence further gave a simple yet profound spiritual exhortation: to have God in our hearts and in our minds. As the youth return to their homes, parishes, schools, workplaces, and communities, the spirit of the camp must not remain within the walls of the campgrounds. Rather, Christ must accompany us wherever we go.
The lessons, prayers, friendships, discussions, activities, and moments of worship experienced during these days are now entrusted to each camper as a seed to be nurtured through a life of faith and commitment to the Church.
The 2026 Annual Youth Camp may have come to an end, but the mission continues.
May the knowledge gained become wisdom,
may the friendships formed become bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood,
may the prayers offered bear spiritual fruit,
and may the love experienced here continue to shine in every parish and every home.
We give glory to God for bringing us together and for sustaining us throughout this blessed camp.
“Have God in your heart and in your mind.”
May our Lord Jesus Christ bless our youth, strengthen our Church, guide our spiritual fathers and shepherds, and grant us all the grace to serve Him faithfully with love.
