Ok, ok

So in all honesty, we don't understand Martin Amidu

When he was the OSP, he did practically nothing

He even accused the Nana Addo government of sabotage, labelled Nana Addo a *Mother Serpent* and resigned

Today

Kissih Adjabeng is the OSP but Martin Amidu will not let him rest, calling the OSP all manner of names

So, someone who couldn't do anything as an OSP, is trying hard to make life uncomfortable for another person, who is trying hard to do something as an OSP

What at all does Amidu want?

Is he against Kissih Adjabeng as a person or the OSP as an institution?

There are times when silence is golden & Martin Amidu must know that by now

The Suspension of the Chief Justice: A Complex Issue

The recent suspension of the Chief Justice has sparked intense debate, with valid arguments on both sides. This development has significant implications for the judiciary, public trust, and the rule of law.

Positive Perspectives

Accountability

The suspension demonstrates that the system is designed to hold everyone accountable, regardless of position or status. This reinforces the principle that no one is above the law.

Investigation

The setup of a committee to review the petition ensures a thorough investigation into the allegations. This process can help maintain the integrity of the judiciary and ensure that any wrongdoing is addressed.

Transparency

The suspension and investigation process can promote transparency and trust in the judicial system.

By investigating allegations and taking action when necessary, the system demonstrates its commitment to fairness and accountability.

*Negative Concerns*

Politicization

The suspension of the Chief Justice by the President may be perceived as a politicization of the judiciary, potentially undermining its independence.
This could lead to concerns about the impartiality of the judicial system.

Uncertainty

The suspension can create uncertainty and instability in the judicial system, potentially
affecting the dispensation of justice. This uncertainty may impact the public's confidence in the system.

Lack of Due Process

Some may argue that the suspension without conclusive evidence or a thorough investigation may be premature and potentially unfair to the Chief Justice. This could raise concerns about due process and the rule of law.

The suspension of the Chief Justice is a complex issue that requires careful consideration. While the process aims to promote accountability and transparency, it is crucial to ensure that the independence of the judiciary is maintained.

The outcome of the committee's review will be instrumental

*“Why should we keep relying on European languages?” – Assin North MP advocates for promotion of African languages*

Member of Parliament for Assin North, James Gyakye Quayson, is advocating for the decolonization Ghana’s language and promotion of African languages.

Gyakye Quayson is worried that despite being independent for over six decades, Africans still rely heavily on European languages such as English, French, and Portuguese.

“Why should we keep relying on top European languages when we have our own truly defining African languages and rich cultures like Swahili, Hausa, or Akan?” he questioned in his Independence Day message.

He advocated for elevating one of Ghana’s local languages into a common official status across Africa.

“Languages are not just a tool for communication but also form a solid foundation for our cultural identity and sources of pride,” he stressed.

Gyakye Quayson urged Ghanaians to work together to promote the use of local languages in governance, education, and business.

“If we continue to think in the language of the colonizer, we will continue to see ourselves through their eyes,” he cautioned.

The Assin North MP stressed the importance of decolonizing Ghana’s minds, institutions, and policies to reclaim dignity and self-reliance.

“Let us work together, breaking borders, across ethnicities and cross generations to build a tall Africa speaking for itself and determining its own course,” he said.

If they will agree to what Nana Addo said, then why the need for this presser?
