DAY 3 (WEDNESDAY, JUNE, 3RD, 2026)

Text: Revelation 7:13-17

Theme: WHO IS THE NEEDY PERSON?

Memory Verse: "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. " (John 3:18)

Many people tend to believe that the needy person is someone who does not have money or someone who is poor. That is not entirely true. A needy person might be someone whose needs transcend beyond money or poverty. It could be a sick person who is in need of sound health. It could also be an unsaved person who is in need of repentance, salvation and righteousness. In other words, needs could be physical, material, financial, academic, career, business, health, etc.

The foundation of the need being discussed here is mainly spiritual. (Matthew 6:33) Based on the above, anyone who is not yet born-again is a needy person and has need of salvation and righteousness. In fact, salvation and righteousness are the most vital requirements to enter into the kingdom of God. So, salvation and righteousness are major needs.

The God who has called us is holy and enjoins us also to be holy too. (1 Peter 1:15-16) Our first step towards jubilation this month should be to repent and obtain salvation and righteousness. If you are born-again, it means you have satisfied the greatest need and eternal jubilation will be your portion. But on the contrary, if you are not born-again, it means you have not satisfied the spiritual need of salvation and righteousness by Christ Jesus, which is your only sure route to eternal life. In that case, your eternal jubilation will be jeopardized. Therefore, you need to become born-again so you can enhance your chances of eternal jubilation.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. Lord, grant me true repentance and salvation, in Jesus name.

2. Father, give me the enabling grace to seek eternal jubilation, in Jesus name.

3. Every distraction hindering me from serving God in spirit and in truth, be uprooted, in Jesus name.

4. Lord, give our G. O and Mommy in the Lord continued determination to remain focused, in Jesus name.

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND

Prof. Jubril Aminu was once the VC of University of Maiduguri. During his tenure, there was an Aluta struggle and some students were rusticated.

Four of the rusticated students came to Gani Fawehinmi to challenge the action.

He fought the case to the Supreme Court and won. The students went back to complete their studies.

Later, Gani was arrested over his anti-SAP conference and was flown to Maiduguri, then driven to Gashua. At the Lagos airport, not knowing where he was being taken to by the security men, Gani played a fast one - he told his captors that he wanted to use the toilet.

He got inside the toilet and quickly scribbled on a toilet paper - "To whoever uses this toilet, this is Gani Fawehinmi. I am being flown to an unknown destination by security men. Please, let the world know". He placed it in a conspicuous place, flushed the toilet as if he just used it and came out.

When they got to Maiduguri, they had a brief stop over at the SSS office, where a lady officer offered Gani a cup of coffee.

Gani was hooked on coffee like drug. But this time, the will power of Gani came on. He told the lady officer -"so you people have got information that l can't do without coffee. You think you can poison me? From, today, I stop taking coffee ". That was how he ended his addiction to coffee.

He was later moved to Gashua prison, in a most decrepit cell where he collapsed after some substances were sprayed in the cell.

He was rushed to the University of Maiduguri Teaching hospital. When he regained consciousness, he found a doctor examining him and he protested, asking the doctor not to touch him.

The doctor, not wanting the security men guarding him to hear, he whispered to Gani's ear - "Chief, you are in safe hands. Can't you recognise me? I am....., one of the medical students rusticated whom you fought for our reinstatement. I am now a doctor. So, relax. You are in safe hands".

And that was how Gani's life was saved - reaping from the good deeds he did earlier, which he had forgotten.

Moral Lesson Of The Story:

Do good always and it shall come back to you.

THE SOUND OF THE TRUMPET

"Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family."
Leviticus 25:9-10

MESSAGE:-
In the biblical tradition, the announcement of liberty was preceded by trumpet blowing. In our today's memory verse, the trumpet was to be blown on the tenth day in the seventh month to herald the beginning of the jubilee. It was a day of atonement to right a lot of wrongs.

The spiritual dimension of the trumpet blowing is an indication that your freedom is being announced in the spirit realm today.
So, you can make a "joyful noise" today, shout or play a song of victory to mark your new season. Along the above line of reason, you can dedicate today to making positive declarations to attract jubilation over your life.

It is the will of God that we serve Him with gladness of heart and rejoicing. Therefore, today, as a matter of jubilating over every need, you must open your mouth and make declarations of victory over every need.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. Lord, I hear the decree of liberty over my life; my struggle ends here, in Jesus name.

2. Lord, thank you for preserving us from every danger, in Jesus name.

3. Lord, thank you for protecting and preserving our G. O, Mommy in the Lord and their entire family and The Lord's Chosen ministry from all the attacks of the devil, in Jesus name.

4. Lord, we ask that you continue this good work you have started in the life of every Chosen, our G. O, his entire household and our great ministry, in Jesus name.
