I'm in Ghana but Live South African Lifestyle โ€“ Ghanaian Artist Reveals

Fast-rising Ghanaian hip-hop artiste Joes Pheric, formerly signed to Pure Afrika Music, has expressed his deep admiration for South African culture, revealing how it has shaped his music, personality, and lifestyle.

Speaking in an interview on Kingdom FMโ€™s Entertainment Digg show hosted by Nana Scary โ€” and monitored by Nana Antobam Junior โ€” Joes Pheric shared that his style and creative inspiration have been heavily influenced by South African musicians, making his musical brand unique compared to other artistes in the Central Region.

โ€œI love the South African lifestyle because Iโ€™ve been influenced by South African musicians. People around me know I live a South African lifestyle here in Ghana,โ€ he said.

The artiste further explained that this cultural connection has motivated him to plan a trip to South Africa, not only to explore the culture in depth but also to connect with artistes, producers, and industry players in the South African music scene.

Joes Phericโ€™s latest single, โ€œMy Babe,โ€ is currently making waves on streaming platforms, and he believes his upcoming cultural trip will inspire more authentic and diverse sounds in his future projects.

With his growing fan base and cross-cultural influences, Joes Pheric is steadily proving to be one of the emerging voices to watch in the Ghanaian music industry.

โ€œWeโ€™re Working to Bring Kwesi Taadi And Other Top Artists to EMA 2025 Main Eventโ€ โ€“ Tipsy Reveals on Kobbes FM

The build-up to the Ekumfi Music Awards (EMA) 2025 is getting more exciting as one of the key organizers, Tipsy Eduah who's the marketing and brand expert of EMA, reveals a major branding plan to make this yearโ€™s edition unforgettable. Speaking on Kobbes FMโ€™s Morning Show hosted by Henryboi, Tipsy disclosed that the team is working to bring award-winning artiste Kwesi Taadi to perform at the main event.

According to her, inviting top artistes to the EMA stage is a strategic move to brand and elevate the awards scheme while also drawing attention to the talents emerging from the central region.

โ€œWeโ€™re working hard to bring in popular artistes like Kwesi Taadi to headline the main event. Itโ€™s part of our strategy to boost the image of the awards and make this yearโ€™s edition more impactful,โ€ she stated.

Tipsy, known for her vibrant personality and her successful business, Tipsy Kitchen, was officially appointed as the Marketing and Branding Expert for EMA 2025. She said her decision to accept the role came from her passion for creative arts and her desire to help raise the standard of the event to a professional and competitive level.

Tipsy also urged businesses, companies, and institutions to come on board and support the event through sponsorships and collaborations. She emphasized that local support is key in building an award scheme that can stand the test of time.

"This is not just an event. Itโ€™s a movement to promote unity, culture, and development through music. When we support our own, we create a stronger identity โ€ she emphasized.

"Mankessim Artistes Are Not Serious About Their Craft" โ€“ Nana Mankata Speaks Out

On the highly respected โ€œNananom Wo Bi Kaโ€ show on Mfantseman FM, the host Nana Mankata, who also serves as a sub-chief of Mankessim, passionately voiced his disappointment in the attitude of some local artistes towards their own growth and progress.

According to him, Mankessim is blessed with raw and promising musical talent, but unfortunately, many of these talents are not showing the seriousness and dedication needed to break through and make a mark in the music industry.

Nana Mankata revealed that Mfantseman FM, as part of its commitment to promoting local talents, has created a special music promotion program called "MMT" โ€“ Mfantseman Music Time. This initiative is entirely free and has been heavily publicized on-air to encourage local artistes to come on board and promote their music.

โ€œItโ€™s heartbreaking,โ€ he said. โ€œWe created this platform just for our own people โ€” to push their music, give them exposure, and connect them to listeners across the region. But up till now, not a single artiste from Mankessim has stepped forward to make use of it.โ€

He continued by questioning the readiness and mindset of local musicians:

"You canโ€™t expect to blow if you donโ€™t show up. Talent alone isnโ€™t enough โ€” it takes consistency, sacrifice, and seriousness. How do you want to be heard if you wonโ€™t even attend a free show designed to help you?โ€ he lamented

Nana Mankata called on the youth and upcoming musicians in the area to wake up, take advantage of platforms like MMT, and stop waiting for miracles. He encouraged them to be intentional about their careers and stop making excuses.

He also advised managers, promoters, and community leaders to start holding talents accountable and give them the push they need โ€” because the talent in Mankessim can shine just as bright as anywhere else in Ghana, but only if it's nurtured with commitment and purpose.
