His Name is Yeshua
ACTS 15:5-6
But some of THE SECT of the Pharisees who believed rose up ,
👉🏼saying , "It is necessary to circumcise them , and to command them to keep the law of Moses (Such as strict Saturday gatherings, sabbath, literal feasts, foods/meats/fish/birds, use of artefacts like menorah 🕎, ark of the covenant, images or symbols, including the use of book of Enoch, certain holidays etc)
📖🌎Now the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter.
👉🏼👉🏼Acts 15:10
Now therefore , why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
📖🌎EXPOSED🛑:
THE SECT OF THE HEBREW ROOT MOVEMENT IS NOT A TRUE CHRISTIANITY
(THUS NEW COVENANT SYSTEM OF WORSHIP). BEWARE ‼️
The Bible explicitly warns against believing everything you hear. According to Proverbs 14:15, it states "The simple believe anything, but the prudent give thought to their steps."In this verse, the word translated as "simple" describes someone who is naive, gullible, or easily manipulated. The "prudent" person, however, represents wisdom and careful judgment.
The scripture advises against gullibility, encouraging believers to test claims, evaluate information, and carefully consider their choices before acting or accepting anything like preachings or teachings.
1John 4:1🙏🏻
My dear friends, don't believe everything you hear. Carefully weigh and examine what people tell you."
Such people is the SECT CALLED THE HEBREW ROOT MOVEMENT.
The Hebrew Roots Movement is a non-denominational Christian restorationist movement as claimed that seeks to return to the Hebraic context (but mostly deviate from the original text), culture, and part practices and part teachings of Christianity. It is characterized by the observance of the Sabbath (strict Saturday gathering), the keeping of biblical (Levitical) feasts, and strict adherence to Mosaic laws. Key Eras and Influences in Early 20th Century Origins suggests the movement's earliest roots trace back to the early 1930s with the Sacred Name Movement—Just like a strain of Seventh-day Adventism advocating for strict Torah observance and strict Saturday gathering.
During the Herbert W. Armstrong Era around the same time, the Worldwide Church of God popularized the idea that Gentiles should observe Mosaic laws, the Sabbath, and Old Testament literal festivals and the used of the Judaism symbols and artefacts like the Ark of the covenant, Menorah 🕎 , and more. In Coining the Term in 1992, the actual label "Hebrew Roots" was coined and trademarked in the early 1990s by Dean Wheelock, a former member of the Worldwide Church of God. The Messianic Boom in the year 1990s–2000s, thus during the late 20th century, the movement experienced a resurgence as interest grew in studying the Bible through ancient Hebrew cultural lenses but mostly deviates from such lenses, rather than Original Hebrew-Aramaic text, Greek or Roman philosophies during the time of the early apostles as well as scriptures translated into different understandable languages. Under the Core Beliefs and Practices Heberaic Lens under this movement, Hebrew Root Teachers and Followers believe the New Testament must be interpreted strictly from an ancient Hebrew perspective instead of both Hebrew-Aramaic and Greek or Latin or English and other languages translation, often rejecting traditional church theology as "Hellenized" (Greek) or corrupted and sometimes calling it pagan, and even condemned the whole English translation bibles writings. But rather focus much on Torah Observance, The Movement Adherents believe the Mosaic laws by teaching that the OLD covenant system of worship and practices were never abolished by Yeshua (Jesus) by misinterpreting Matthew 5:17 to support their claims, they practice the Sabbath (Strictly Saturday gathering ), kosher dietary (foods) laws, and observe the literal spring and fall biblical feasts which in itself are just foreshadows of the reality revealed in the new covenant worship. Using Sacred Names: like Yahuah, Yahusha or Yahshua, Yahuwa, which are NOT in the original Hebrew text (Original Hebrew texts use; YHWH/YHVH or YAHWEH, YESHUA).
Hebrew Roots Movement teachings often avoid using the English word "God" or the Lord claiming it’s a pagan. This Hebrew Roots Movement teachings and practices are what we call the Jewish Myth or Jewish Fables because these groups are NOT well equipped in the holy writings (Genesis to Revelation) , they cannot explain between the law of Moses and the Law of God, rather mixing the old covenant system of worship and practices with the New covenant system of worship. Only the New covenant worship is the true worship that God approves. (John 4:21-24). The practices and the teachings of the Hebrew Root movement is called the Jewish Myth or Fables and they are all contradictory to the sound doctrine of the Apostles (Acts 2:42).
👉🏼Even right from the exodus to Deutronomy the Israelites including Moses himself did not understand the laws, the practices and the feasts they were observing until the interpretation was revealed to the Apostles (from Luke 24:45, Acts 1 to Revelation 22)
Deutronomy 29:4👇🏼
Yet the Lord has not given you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear , to this very day.
When the New Testament mentions "Jewish myths" (or "fables"), it typically refers to the oral traditions, genealogical speculations, and extra-biblical interpretations that were circulating in first-century Judaism until later was embraced by the Hebrew Root movements in early 1930s. These were criticized by early Christian writers including the time of the early Apostles as distractions from the core teachings of faith.
Several key verses address this topic:
🛑👉🏼Titus 1:14‼️
Warns believers to stop paying attention to "Jewish myths and the commands of people who reject the truth".
1 Timothy 1:4
Instructs leaders to command certain people not to "devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies," which promote speculation rather than faith.
2 Timothy 4:4
Notes that people will eventually turn their ears away from the truth and "turn aside to myths".
1 Timothy 4:7
Advises to have nothing to do with "godless myths and old wives' tales," but rather to train oneself in godliness.
This is what this Hebrew Root movement say to the true preachers and the true followers of Christ starting from the early century.
Acts 6:11
Then they secretly induced men to say , "We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God."
Acts 6:14
for we have heard him say that this Yeshua of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs which Moses delivered to us."
Acts 15:1
And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren , "Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses (such as ; sabbaths, foods, strict practising of the Jews literal feasts, using the symbols or artefacts like the ark of covenant, the menorah 🕎 and more), you cannot be saved."
Organization and Controversy of this Hebrew Roots Movement has no centralized hierarchy or single leader. It operates primarily as a grassroots network of independent congregations, home fellowships, and internet ministries.
Because of its emphasis on keeping the Law of Moses, it is frequently criticized by mainstream Evangelical Christianity, which views the movement as a return to a "works-righteousness" system and a rejection of the doctrine of grace only by faith in Christ (1Cor 15:1-4, Eph 2:8-9, James 2:10, Prov 20:9, Gal 3:10-11).
👉🏼Acts 21:21
but they have been informed about you that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses , saying that they ought NOT to circumcise their children nor to walk according to the customs (such as sabbath or strict Saturday gatherings, foods, literal feasts, using of artefacts like Ark of covenant, menorah 🕎 and Judaism symbols etc).
YES!!!
The New Covenant system of worship clearly states that the Law of Moses is abolished or fulfilled by Christ on the cross, having been replaced by the blood Covenant of Yeshua Christ.
Here is the spiritual misunderstanding of the Hebrew Root Movement leading to unnecessary arguments for being unskilled in the scripture for mixing Judaism (shadows) to the new covenant worship (the reality or the spiritual worship)
👉🏼2 Corinthians 3:12-16
Therefore , since we have such hope , we use great boldness of speech—
unlike Moses , who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away.
But their minds were blinded.
For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament , because the veil is taken away in Christ.
But even to this day , when Moses is read , a veil lies on their heart.
Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord , the veil is taken away.
Meaning not restricted to particular day of worship (Saturday), literal levitical feasts or Jewish holidays not restricted, abstaining from certain foods/meat/Fish not restricted, sabbaths not restricted and more…
Believers are now guided by the law of Christ and led by the Holy Spirit.
Key verses that explain this shift include:
👉🏼Ephesians 2:15
Yeshua"abolished the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace".
Hebrews 7:12
"For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well".
Romans 10:4>>>same explanation in Matthew 5:17📖🌎
👉🏼Romans 10:4
"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."
Galatians 3:24-25
"So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian."
Colossians 2:14:
Yeshua "canceled the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross."
2 Corinthians 3:13:
"We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away."While the old system of the Law has passed, the moral principles underlying it (such as loving God and loving your neighbor) are summarized and fulfilled in the Law of Christ (Galatians 5:14).
The specific aspects of the Law (such as dietary restrictions, the Sabbaths, or sacrifices, the literal Jewish feasts, use of Judaism artefacts and symbols like the ark of the covenant, menorah 🕎 etc ) are the foreshadowing of the reality that came through Yeshua.
👉🏼Hebrews 8:5
who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things , as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said , "See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain."
👉🏼Colossians 2:16-17
So let no one judge you in food or in drink , or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths ,
which are a shadow of things to come , but the substance is of Christ.
The substance is the new covenant system of worship in Christ’s precious blood 🩸 (our sabbath is not Saturday and is NOT Sunday, our real sabbath rest of 1000 years is in heaven_Revelation 20:4,6 Hebrews 3 &4)
👉🏼Acts 13:39
and by Him (YESHUA) everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses (sabbaths, foods, literal festivals, sacrifices, using of artefacts, images etc).
The timeless wisdom from 13:9 reminds us to remain anchored in the unchanging truth of grace rather than being tossed around by unpredictable or "strange" doctrines. Staying grounded in your faith protects you from spiritual confusion. Here are a few practical ways to hold onto your foundation;
📖Test the Spirits: Evaluate teachings against core, established truths. If a message distracts from The Gospel, love, grace, and redemption, it may be leading you astray. Seek Inner Peace: True teachings strengthen the heart and bring peace, whereas alien or diverse teachings often bring anxiety, guilt, or unnecessary burdens.
📖Prioritize Grace; Focus on the unchanging nature of faith and God’s grace rather than getting swept up in superficial rules, rituals, or trends like that of the HEBREW ROOTS MOVEMENT.
As I said the I am saying it again Bible frequently warns believers to guard against "strange teachings" (sometimes translated as "diverse" or "various" doctrines). These warnings are designed to protect believers from doctrines that distort the truth or lead them away from a simple, grace-filled faith in Christ Yeshua the almighty God, Core scriptures addressing this topic like ;
Hebrews 13:9:
"Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods, which is of no benefit to those who do so.
"Galatians 1:6–9:
Paul warns against abandoning the true gospel for a "different gospel," stating that teaching contrary to what was originally received is to be accursed.
🛑👉🏼1 Timothy 6:3–5✍🏻
Paul instructs Timothy to correct those who teach false doctrines that do not agree with the sound teachings of Yeshua (Jesus), noting that these often lead to envy, division, and empty arguments.
Colossians 2:8
"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ."
🛑👉🏼Ephesians 4:14
Warns believers against being "tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming."
The Laws of Moses system of worship under old covenant is NOT needed in the new covenant system of worship in Yeshua’s blood 🩸.
And it cannot be mixed too ; Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrew 10:16.
👉🏼Hebrews 8:13
In that He says , "A new covenant , " He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
2Corinthians 11:3-4
But I fear , lest somehow , as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness , so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
For if he who comes preaches another Yeshua (Jesus) whom we have not preached , or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received , or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!
🛑📖The Hebrew root movement, Torah observers movement, black Israelites movement , black Jesus followers , White Jesus followers etc ARE ALL NOT THE TRUE CHRISTIANITY❌, Stay away from their doctrines and practices. Focus on the practices and teachings of the early church in Acts 2, Repent, turn away from strange teachings from HEBREW ROOTs MOVEMENT ‼️⌛️
The Church of Christ Yeshua was built by Himself through His Prophets and the Apostles,
under the new covenant worship in God’s blood 🩸, so we don’t go beyond what they practiced or did teach after the Holy Spirit filled them in Acts 1 (Acts 2:38-47).
We the last generation of God’s workers or followers or remnant MUST follow suit. (Eph 2:20, 1Cor 3:9-11)..
Now Concerning the topic THE HEBREW ROOTs MOVEMENT WHO ARE NOT TRUE CHRISTIANS❌..
JOB 5:27✍🏻
Behold , this we have searched out;
It is true.
Hear it , and know for yourself."
