Today I had to break it down for them.

I explained every part of the computer, especially where all their Stonebwoy “Kporkeke” and Shatta wale(shatta movement) “enter the net” tracks actually sleep. All those songs are stored on the primary storage device, the main storage inside the computer, which is the hard disk.

But chale, in this century, forget that old hard disk life. If you want speed, smooth performance and no slow-motion booting, go for an SSD. It’s the newer technology and it makes your computer feel fresh and sharp.

I don’t recommend anyone running a hard disk in 2025 unless you enjoy waiting like you’re queuing for waakye.

A wonderful facilitator who brought his students to the computer lab said to me, Win this job is so difficult. You have to give individual attention to everyone, even those who cannot talk but are struggling. You notice them by their facial expressions.

“But I want to appreciate this facilitator, he got involved and omg I love him.”

Wait, you no follow Agbeko Odione Kumordzie yet? Ohhh please do that.

He continued, You watch all of them even as you give step-by-step instructions. You know who is doing well and who is not. Eeeii Win this job is too difficult I cannot do it ooo.

With a smile I replied, This is not a job for me, it is my calling. Even when I am sick, I turn up for class because they give me joy. Let God call me home while I am fulfilling His purpose rather than sitting somewhere.

Keep pushing even when no one is watching.

Today during my second ICT session, I took my Grade Six learners through the keyboard the core input device of any computer system.

Agbeko Odione Kumordzie is on 🔥

Yes, the picture shows the Microsoft Word interface, and that’s intentional. I believe in practical, hands-on learning. The students must press the keys and immediately see what those actions represent on the screen. That’s how real understanding is built.

We explored the keyboard from the ESC key, Function keys, Typewriter section, Numeric keypad, Arrow keys, down to the Special Function keys.

The outcome was pure contextual learning not theory, but practice with purpose.

I believe in practicals. I believe students can brainstorm, experiment, and discover smarter ways of doing things.

Let’s focus more on understanding and the ability to DO.
