TikToker Osanju confirmed dead days after complaining of health issues

Ghanaian TikToker, Osanju Frimpong Elvis, has sadly passed away. His death was reported on Monday, September 1, 2025, just a day after watching his favorite football team, Barcelona, play.

Following the news, a reported close friend of Osanju has spoken about his final moments and health struggles.

In a TikTok video, she revealed that when she met him three days before his passing, he complained of heaviness and pain in his hand, which he attributed to blood clotting due to not having his medication.

She added that she and her brother invited him to church on Sunday, but he declined.

According to her, her brother had also tried to pray for him after claiming to see a troubling vision, but Osanju turned it down, saying he did not believe in such prophecies.

Later that night, his companion reportedly called to say he had been rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, but he unfortunately did not survive.

Osanju had previously spoken publicly about battling a health condition believed to be leukemia.

His friend’s account has raised concerns that not having access to his medication may have contributed to his passing.

Gospel singer Selina Boateng has addressed critics who question the credibility of Gospel musicians and ministers who have experienced failed marriages, insisting that divorce does not diminish one’s calling or ministry.

“Divorce comes with a lot of issues but I can say boldly that it doesn't affect our ministry because we are human beings working for God.

"We are not perfect. The focus is on making an impact on people's lives," she told Graphic Showbiz in an interview.

She emphasized that ending a marriage does not determine one’s spiritual standing, adding, “There is no way Gospel musicians cannot minister to people just because they have a broken home.

"So are they telling me all those who have failed marriages are not going to heaven? It's not in the Bible that when your marriage ends, you won’t make heaven.”

We haven’t replaced ‘Akwaaba’ and ‘Woezor’ with ‘Oobakɛ' – GTA clears the air

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has rubbished viral claims suggesting that the iconic greetings “Akwaaba” (Akan) and “Woezor” (Ewe) at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park have been replaced with the Ga word “Oobakɛ.”

In a firm statement, GTA said: “At no point has the Authority ordered or approved such a change.”

According to the CEO, any decision to alter the park’s culturally significant signage would need approval from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture as well as other relevant agencies.

This clarification follows heated social media conversations, fueled by images and rumors—including AI-generated photos—that pushed the narrative of a language swap.

GTA urged Ghanaians to ignore the misinformation and rather support the Memorial Park as a proud symbol of unity and cultural diversity.

Ghana is for all tribes, and the park remains a place that celebrates everyone.

Ghanaian blogger Eugene Osarfo-Nkansah has opened up about his journey from being skeptical of social media to becoming one of the leading voices in Ghana’s digital media space.

Now the President of the New Media Association of Ghana, Eugene admitted that moving from traditional media to blogging was far from easy.

“Let me say on record that I was one of the people that thought that social media was part of the anti-Christ.

"I didn’t like it at all. I thought that it was exposing us too much. I didn’t know that there was a business side to it,” he confessed to Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z

His mindset shifted thanks to fellow media personality Ameyaw Debrah, who encouraged him to explore digital opportunities alongside his work in newspapers and radio.

“Ameyaw said, ‘Chale, this is something you can add to what you do in mainstream media, and I always say that I registered my company in his house,” Eugene recalled.

Today, Eugene leads Nkonkonsa and the New Media Association of Ghana, championing blogging and digital media as spaces full of opportunity.

The association unites bloggers, podcasters, vloggers, and content creators while focusing on professional development, networking, and advocacy.

I am not a celebrity, just a working actor - Melvin Dain

Ghanaian actor Melvin Dain is setting the record straight — he doesn’t see himself as a celebrity.

In a candid interview on Daybreak Hitz with Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio, Melvin explained that he’s still focused on his craft and hasn’t done anything “worth celebrating” yet.
