The La Motor Court, under the jurisdiction of Her Worship Adwoa Sakyi Asumadu, has handed down a sentence to Agyarko Richard, a driver who was captured on video recklessly operating a Toyota Voxy with registration number EN 551-26 along the Kumasi–Accra Highway, thereby posing a threat to the safety of other road users.
Following his guilty plea, the court convicted Richard and imposed a fine of 260 penalty units, amounting to GH¢3,120.00. In the event of non-payment, he will face 15 days’ imprisonment with hard labour. Furthermore, he received a sentence of two months’ imprisonment with hard labour.
