Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's reported NYC wedding could become one of the biggest celebrity events the city has ever seen.

More than 1,000 guests are reportedly expected at Madison Square Garden, with the NYPD planning street closures around the venue as fans, paparazzi, and onlookers descend on Midtown.

On the wedding day, guests will arrive at a secure reception tent as the cocktail hour kicks off, so they can enter away from prying eyes, according to a source.

Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw are reportedly expected to perform, with one source calling the celebration "bigger than the Met Gala."

Just blocks away, New York will also be celebrating America's 250th birthday, setting up a busy night in the city that doesn't sleep.

Iran has announced plans to introduce transit fees for commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, a move that could significantly increase tensions over one of the world's most critical maritime chokepoints.

Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said on state television that Tehran is seeking an agreement with Oman to establish a joint system for collecting service or transit fees from ships navigating the strategic waterway.

Iran also warned that the Strait of Hormuz "will not return to its pre-war status," adding that if Oman declines to participate, Tehran is prepared to implement and enforce the fee collection system unilaterally.

The statement included a warning to Western countries, including France, not to interfere in the matter. The announcement has drawn attention from global energy markets, as the United States maintains that the Strait of Hormuz is an international waterway where commercial navigation should remain free under international law.

The proposal, if implemented, could further heighten geopolitical tensions and raise concerns over global energy supplies and maritime security.

CHINA WRITES OFF SUDAN DEBT, ANNOUNCES NEW AID PACKAGE

China has canceled approximately US$50 million of Sudanโ€™s debt by writing off four interest-free government loans, marking another step in Beijingโ€™s financial support for Khartoum.

Beijing also pledged 200 million yuan (around US$28 million) in grant assistance to support energy, water, and agricultural projects. The package includes training programs for Sudanese civil servants and support for restarting Chinese investment activities in the country, including operations by CNPC.

The latest commitments reflect Chinaโ€™s continued economic engagement with Sudan despite ongoing challenges. Observers will closely watch how quickly the pledged assistance and investment projects are implemented and their impact on Sudanโ€™s economic recovery.
