The presentation was made on behalf of the MP by the Sissala East Municipal Chief Executive, Adamu Yakubu
Speaking during the presentation, the MCE expressed gratitude to the Member of Parliament and the Municipal Sports Directorate for their commitment and hard work in putting up a dressing room facility for the Middle League competition.
He further urged the people of Tumu to use the Middle League as a platform to build friendships, promote peace and foster unity among the people, stressing that “we are one people.”
The MCE also noted that sports remains a powerful tool in addressing societal challenges affecting the youth.
According to him, engaging young people in sports can help keep them away from social vices that could otherwise lead them into conflict with the law or imprisonment.
In another development, the Tumu Municipal Football Association also made undisclosed cash donations to the four clubs from Zones One and Two participating in the competition.
