*President Akufo Addo is yelling for Coup d'etat over his recent pronouncement on the country's economic crisis - ADAM - GH*
President Nana Akufo-Addo has openly acknowledged the undeniable reality of the economic crisis in the country.
Speaking to the media during the NPP’s Super Delegates Congress, on Saturday, August 26, President Akufo-Addo disclosed that he has listened to the grievances of the citizens about the difficulties they are facing and expressed confidence that the party would select a new leader capable of guiding the country out of these challenges.
Reacting to this, Mr. Emmanuel Azubila Abdul-Salam, the executive secretary for Anchoring Democracy Advocacy Movement - Ghana (ADAM-GH) has chastised the president and described his comment as unfortunate indicating that the president was given the mandate to serve the country for the past 7 years with a core mandate to ensure Ghanaians are relieved from any form of economic and social challenges hence the statement made by the president is a serious one since we still face hardships and other socio-economic challenges.
He denoted that leaders are to encourage and give hope to their people during hard times and not to demoralize and frustrate them hence president admitted the hardship while declaring his inability to solve the situation until the next leader from NPP is voted into power is tantamount to a call for a coup d'etat because people can no longer wait on government that has no iota of hope for his people.
Mr. Emmanuel Azubila Abdul-Salam Speaking in an interview with Odehyieba Nana Yeboah Micheal on ASTA Fm added that Ghanaians are getting very angry and impatience with what he described as a persistent insult from Nana Addo, citing an incident when the president angrily asked some Chiefs in the Volta region to complete the construction of John Mahama's uncompleted E-Block in the region with similar response to some residents and Nananom of Ashanti region of Ghana
