As part of John Boadu’s nationwide tour, which commenced today in the Oti Region, He reminded constituency executives of his unwavering commitment to the welfare of party officers.

During his engagement, he recalled that while serving as General Secretary, he pushed for Regional Organizers to be appointed as Regional NADMO Coordinators, Constituency Organizers as District NADMO Coordinators, Regional Youth Organizers into leadership positions at the Youth Employment Agency, and Constituency Youth Organizers as YEA Directors in their respective districts.

Again he also made sure Secretaries took over NHIS managerial positions whiles women organizers also took over School Feeding across the length and breadth of the Country.

His belief has always been that those who work tirelessly to bring the party into government should also have the opportunity to serve and contribute to national development.

He assured the executives that, if given the mandate as National Chairman, he would continue to champion policies that empower and uplift party officers across the country.

A proven record. A leader who remembers the grassroots. A chairman for the future.

JOHN BOADU STANDS IN SOLIDARITY WITH CHAIRMAN WONTUMI

I have followed the recent developments involving our brother, the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi), with deep concern and sympathy.

The New Patriotic Party is a family, and in moments of difficulty, we stand together. I join the Party in expressing our firm belief that Chairman Wontumi is a Political Prisoner, and I stand in full solidarity with him, his family, and his supporters.

I respectfully urge all NPP members and supporters to remain calm, united, disciplined, and law-abiding while the Party leadership pursues every lawful avenue to secure his earliest release. Let us rise above provocation and continue to uphold the democratic values and traditions of our party.

Our strength lies in our unity, resilience, and faith in justice. May God grant Chairman Wontumi strength and protection, and may truth and justice prevail.

Re-Unite the NPP for 2028 – Boadu’s Pitch

John Boadu is running for NPP National Chairman with one message: re-unite the party to win in 2028.

The former General Secretary says the NPP can’t return to power divided. Ahead of the Jan 31, 2026 presidential primaries, he’s urging members to put discipline, respect, and unity first.

Boadu is selling experience. With 30+ years in the party, from polling station chairman to General Secretary, he led the NPP to its two highest vote tallies in 2016 and 2020.

His 2028 plan is simple:
1. Defend the 87 seats the NPP holds now.
2. Reclaim 60+ lost seats with targeted, data-driven campaigns.
3. Rebuild the grassroots by strengthening polling station structures and setting up a permanent committee on parliamentary fortunes.

“Elections are won at the polling station,” Boadu says. “If we get our acts right, the NPP will come back to power in 2028.”

The party chooses its chairman and machinery for 2028 this year. Boadu’s bet is that unity + experience = victory.

Our revered and distinguished elders, I am deeply honoured by the opportunity to stand before you today. I come before you with profound humility and utmost respect, fully conscious of the immense sacrifices you have made in building, nurturing, and sustaining our great party through difficult and challenging times.

As loyal sons and daughters of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition, we have always upheld the values of respect for our elders, consultation, and collective wisdom. It is
therefore inconceivable to me that I should embark on an active campaign to seek the high office of National Chairman without first coming to this august body to seek your blessings, your wise counsel, and your guidance.

During my tenure as General Secretary, I established a fund that provided monthly subventions to constituency and regional party offices. Unfortunately, I understand that these subventions were discontinued after my departure from office.

These funds played a vital role in easing the financial burden on constituency officers and ensuring that resources were readily available for effective party operations at both the constituency and regional levels.

I am committed to restoring these subventions when elected as your National Chairman.
