The Acting Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Prof. Emmanuel Osei Sarpong, disclosed that repairing the damaged floodlight infrastructure at the Accra Sports Stadium will cost between GH₵1.5 million and GH₵2 million.

Addressing technical concerns over facility readiness, Prof. Sarpong explained that heavy rainstorms and sea-breeze corrosion caused severe structural damage to the lighting mounts and metal frames. Replacing and restoring the lights will require specialized heavy-duty cranes and structural engineers.
