Ghanaian musician Barosky, known for working with Ofori Amponsah, is homeless and living in a difficult condition in the UK.

In an interview with Nana Romeo of Okay FM, Barosky spoke about his current situation and appealed for help to get food and a plane ticket to return to Ghana.

The interview showed Barosky in a sad and difficult state, leaving many Ghanaians concerned about his wellbeing.

Reports have also linked his current struggles to dræg use after relocating to UK!

BREAKING: Ghana just overtook the United States to become the world’s sixth-largest gold producer. - In 2025, Ghana produced a record 185 tonnes of gold that’s about 5.94 million ounces. That’s a solid 23% jump from the year before, and enough to push the country past the US in the global rankings.

Christopher Nyarko from the Ghana Chamber of Mines put it simply: “We’re number six now, right after Peru. So it’s China, Russia, Australia, Canada, Peru, then Ghana… and the United States follow.”

What made the difference? Two things. Ghana’s production went up, while US output dropped partly because of technical problems at mines in Nevada.

But the real story is the small-scale miners. For the first time in more than 100 years of commercial mining in Ghana, they produced more than half of the country’s total gold over 52%. The big mining companies actually produced a bit less than the previous year.

A lot of that small-scale gold is now coming through formal channels thanks to the new Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), which was set up to reduce smuggling and bring more of the metal into the official system.

Ghana is still Africa’s biggest gold producer, and the metal remains one of the biggest
earners for the economy.

Pretty big moment for the country.
