Wendy Shay Wins Artiste of the Year at the 2026 Ghana Music Awards USA

Ghanaian music star Wendy Shay has added another major achievement to her career after being crowned Artiste of the Year at the 2026 Ghana Music Awards USA.

The award was presented on Saturday, August 8, during the prestigious ceremony held at the Carnegie Centre in Princeton, New Jersey. This year's event, themed "Music for the Stars," celebrated the outstanding achievements of Ghanaian musicians both at home and across the diaspora.

Wendy Shay beat a strong lineup of top artists, including Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Black Sherif, Sarkodie, Medikal, Kofi Kinaata, Diana Hamilton, and Piesie Esther to take home the night's biggest award.

She also received nominations in the Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year category and Most Popular Song of the Year for her hit collaboration "Crazy Love" with Olivetheboy.
