AfroCuration Ghana 2025: "Who We Are" for Arts and Aesthetics. Amplifying African Voices Through Language & Heritage

This year’s AfroCuration Ghana 2025, themed "Who We Are", was a powerful declaration of identity, culture, and digital empowerment.

Held at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, this landmark event united seven Ghanaian language communities Twi Wikipedia, Gurene Wikimedia Community, Dagbani Wikimedians User Group, Moore Wikimedia Community , Ewe Wikimedians Community, Kusaal Wikimedia Community , and Dagaare Wikimedians Community  to bridge Africa’s digital divide through Wikipedia.

More than 80 participants, including academics, language experts, digital activists, and traditional leaders, came together to document African identities online.

Let’s continue championing African representation. Our stories, our languages, and our heritage belong on the global stage. This is just the beginning
