Ghana international River Festival was instituted in 2010 by Eco3 Concepts, a non profit making organization in the Volta region of Ghana. It has been hosted in the River town of Sogakope where the Lower Volta Bridge is located over the prestigious Volta River.

is a well established development oriented organization with over 15 years practical experience and track record in environmental protection with special emphasis on water bodies. The organization protects the ecosystem, promotes preservation of Ghana's natural habitats, and helps communities along the lower Volta Basin to take positive practical steps in tackling environmental and freshwater pollution in the Volta region.


The Ghana International River Festival is a celebration of the Arts with a fusion of Recreational activities, Water sports activities on the River, Cultural relevant activities, Educational and Family-oriented events as well .
It showcases the economic benefits of the eco system, creates awareness on the need to protect and preserve water bodies for the future generations, adds value to Ghana's tourism sector as well as create varieties of water sports and recreational activities for patronage from domestic and international tourists.

Riverfestgh is an annual event with the potential to boost domestic tourism in the country, while creating wealth and reducing poverty in the surrounding communities.


The mission of Ghana international River festival is to produce quality recreational, cultural, educational and family-oriented celebrations of the Visual and Performing arts for the benefits of the communities along the Volta River.
From offering an outstanding children's area where every activity is free to the participants, to an area focusing on young teens, to the International Village where festival-goers can travel the Volta, to the numerous special tourism attractions along the lower Volta Basin.


The 2024 edition of the Ghana International River Festival would be held in Sogakope from the 27th to 29th of December and the Activities of the Event are as follows;

⚡Clams (Adordi) Mining Competition
⚡Bridge Diving Competition


⚡River Gymnastics
⚡Grand Durbar
⚡Motherland Music Concert


⚡Cruising and Pool Party

The GHANA International RIVER Festival 2024 would be very interesting with a lot of fun packed activities lined up for your entertainment, enlightenment and enjoyment.
