Once again, Mamfe Roundabout is getting a “facelift”! 😅 Every time Akuapem North roads are patched, the potholes seem to have a mind of their own and a serious comeback strategy.

Huge shoutout to the hardworking crew repairing the roads around 6 PM today—true superheroes keeping drivers and pedestrians safe! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️🚧

Let’s hope one day these roads stay pothole-free… at least until the next rainy season! 🌧️😂

Please let’s all becareful when driving on the Koforidua-Mamfe road and the Asenema-Koforidua road when driving there is been a lot of Reports on these roads of late.

GNFS RESPONSE TO ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT AT ASENEMA

‎Personnel from the Kpong Municipal Fire Station responded to a road traffic accident involving a HOWO 371 truck near the Asenema Waterfalls on the Adukrom–Koforidua Highway. The truck overturned with three male occupants trapped inside.
‎
‎Firefighters carried out extrication operations and retrieved the bodies of the victims, who were pronounced dead at the scene. The bodies were handed over to the Police MTTD and transported to the Tetteh-Quarshie Memorial Hospital morgue at Mampong.

‎The crew also ensured the road was cleared and safe for motorists before returning to base.

🗑️ Waste Management in Some Areas of Akuapem Is Poor — and We Must Talk About It

In many parts of Akuapem, waste is not collected regularly, and there are not enough public dustbins or proper dumping sites. As a result, rubbish ends up in gutters, on roadsides, and in open spaces. This not only makes our communities look untidy but also puts our health at risk.

Blocked gutters cause flooding when it rains, and piled-up waste attracts mosquitoes, flies, and rodents, which can spread diseases. Clean surroundings are not just about appearance — they are about protecting our lives and our future.

We all have a role to play. Let’s dispose of waste properly, support community clean-up exercises, and call on local authorities to improve waste collection services. Together, we can make Akuapem cleaner and safer for everyone. 💚🌍
