A big thanks to our ICT resource person, Mr. Richmond Dosoo who honoured the occasion of this year's International Day of Girls and Women in ICT. Despite the short notice, he was able to put together a splendid presentation on the theme for this year's celebration dubbed, *AI for Development: Girls Shaping the Digital Future.*

The day ended with a nurse from the Tegbi Health Centre who came to give a talk to teachers on Prostate Cancer.

She spoke on the risk factors, some signs and symptoms to look out for, healthy lifestyles that can be adopted as well as treatment when one is diagnosed.

She answered questions from the house, as well as clearing the misconception that, *"regular s*x helps to prevent Prostate Cancer."*

She ended with a tidbit of information on we educating our learners on the emerging cases of STIs in the locality.

Today was a packed day for Staff and students of Salvation Army Basic School as the Girls Club marked *"International Day of Women and Girls in Science".*

The day saw Resource Persons, Mr. Cornelius Gorni and Mr. Richmond Dosoo (Science & Computing teachers respectively) give a talk to female learners on Science related issues. They also showed pictures of prominent females who were making great strides in the field of science.

The talk came to an end when the Anloga Girl Child District Coordinator, Miss. Joan Avemegah wrapped everything up and encouraged the girls to take their books seriously and not shy away from the Science field.

In attendance was Miss Abigail Abbah, the school's SHEP Coordinator.
