REGENT OF NANUNG KINGDOM CALLS FOR NIB BANKING SERVICES OPENING IN BIMBILLA🏛️🏦

The Regent of the Nanumba Kingdom, Ag. President of the Northern Regional House of Chiefs, and President of the Nanumba Traditional CouncilNyalinbolgu Naa Yakubu Andani Dasana, together with Member of Cabinet, Alhaji Tijani and Personal Secretary to the Chief, Dr. Rashid Mohammed on Wednesday 12th August 2026 paid a courtesy call on the Managing Director of National Investment Bank PLC, Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria on Wednesday, 12th August 2026.

The visit was to formerly congratulate and commend the Managing Director on his transformational leadership and the progress made by the Bank under his stewardship.

During the visit, the Regent commended the MD and made a passionate appeal to the Bank to establish a presence in Bimbila to enable businesses and communities to access banking services and transact more efficiently.

He assured the Bank that the traditional authorities and people of Bimbila are ready and willing to welcome and support NIB in establishing a presence in the Kingdom.

Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria in his response expressed appreciation to the Regent and his delegation. He assured them that the request would be given the utmost consideration*, noting that Bimbila is an important commercial centre with significant business potential.

The Managing Director further indicated that a team from the Bank would visit Bimbila for a feasibility study to explore the appropriate measures and requirements to establish a presence in the area.

Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to building a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with the Nanumba Traditional Council, the people of Bimbila and the wider community.

ZELIA FM applauds this singular move by the Regent aimed at bringing development and financial inclusion closer to the people of Nanung.

HON. SOFO TANKO RASHID COMPUTER SEEKS BLESSINGS OF ISLAMIC CLERICS FOR ZELIA FM GRAND LAUNCH🤲📻

Hon. Tanko Rashid-Computer is doing the Lord’s work.

As Zelia FM prepares for a grand launch at the tail end of August 2026 at Zelia Gardens, Hon. Computer Rashid is soliciting the blessings and advice of revered Islamic Clerics/Imams in Nanung.

In line with tradition, and seeking support from all stakeholders in the Nanung Kingdom, the management of Zelia FM on behalf of Hon. Computer has donated bags of fertilizer and radio sets to about 18 Islamic Clerics in Bimbilla.

The 2-day exercise started Tuesday 11th August 2026 and climaxed Wednesday 12th August 2026.

Clerics reached include:
The Chief Imam of Bimbilla, Alhaji Abdul Samed, Nayimi of Bimbilla Alhaji Saani Abdallah, Sheikh Zanzaki, Alhaji Aliu, Sheikh Yaashe Naa, Khalifa Adam Suala, Alhaji Mukson, Alhaji Musah, Alhaji Jibreel, Alhaji Abdallah Bawa and others, making 18 Imams in total.

Hon. Computer believes the donation will go a long way to help the Imams in their farming activities and ensure improved yields.

With excitement, the Imams prayed for Hon. Computer and wished him well in all his endeavors. Almost all of them promised to be present at the grand launch of Zelia FM this August.

Meanwhile, the distribution of farm inputs continues. Over 2,000 more farm inputs including fertilizers and other items are yet to be distributed to farmers across Nanung — all to make farming easier and ensure enough food to feed the Nanung Kingdom.

HON. SOFO TANKO RASHID COMPUTER SUPPORTS 54 BEST LEARNERS IN NANUMBA NORTH🎓

CEO of GIFEC and Zelia FM, Hon. Sofo Tanko Rashid Computer* has supported 54 best performing learners* from Junior High, Senior High and TVET schools across Nanumba North Municipality.

These were students who scored 1st position* in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd terminal/semester examinations under the Education for Change program.

At a brief visit to his office in Accra on Tuesday afternoon, Hon. Computer presented to them a cash amount of GHS 10,000 to aid them in their learning process and in pursuit of a better future as leaders of tomorrow.

The gesture forms part of his commitment to promoting education and rewarding academic excellence in Nanung.

NANUNG BASE AWARDS TEAM PAYS VISIT TO ZELIA FM🏆📻

Organisers of the Nanung Base Awards paid a familiarization visit to Zelia FM.

Mr. K**a Zakari, Chairman of the Award Scheme, led the delegation. He was accompanied by Organiser Suskid.

The visit was to formally introduce the award scheme to Zelia FM and to seek media partnership ahead of this year's edition. Discussions centered on promoting talents, culture, and excellence in Nanung
