Yesterday, I had the distinct honour of attending the 2024 WAEC Distinction Award Ceremony for WASSCE candidates, organised by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
It was a remarkable privilege to celebrate these exceptional young men and women, who represent the very foundation of our education system and, indeed, the bright future of our country.
As the minister, I want to assure them that my ministry is steadfastly committed to the mission of the West African Examinations Council. We will consistently provide the necessary support to uphold the highest standards in educational assessment. Our goal is to maintain our prestigious position in the sub-region regarding educational evaluations.
Moreover, I am pleased to announce that President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to offer GETFund Scholarships to the top 10 WASSCE candidates, further investing in the leaders of tomorrow.
