The Lower-Volta Association of Small-Scale Miners and Farmers is set to make a transformative impact in the Shai-Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region with the launch of a 24-hour International Livestock Market. This groundbreaking initiative marks a significant step toward enhancing agricultural productivity, promoting trade, and creating sustainable employment opportunities across the Lower Volta basin.
Designed as an integrated hub for both livestock production and aquaculture, the market is expected to generate over 1,000 jobs, stimulating rural economic growth while supporting farmers, traders, processors, transporters, and youth in agribusiness.
The market will feature a diverse range of livestock, including cattle, sheep, goats, and local poultry, establishing Volivo as a central point for livestock trading within the region and beyond.
