The Constituency Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Hohoe, Mr. Samuel Wode, has this morning locked up the Hohoe Municipal NADMO Office.
The incident, which took place in the presence of some branch organisers, is in protest over what Mr. Wode describes as an unjust delay in his appointment as Municipal NADMO Director.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Wode argued that the position of NADMO Director is traditionally reserved for constituency organisers of the ruling party, and as such, he deserves the role after his hard work towards securing the parliamentary seat.
When asked about rumours that he had earlier rejected the position in favour of a possible job at the Bank of Ghana, he explained that such decisions were made when the party was in opposition.
He added that following the party’s victory, a directive from the presidency instructed that all constituency organisers assume the role of NADMO Directors.
The office remains locked with a padlock, as Mr. Wode insists no one will access the premises until his appointment is officially granted.
Currently, the position is occupied by the Deputy NDC Constituency Organiser, Mr. Raphael Kumagah.
