Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed strong confidence that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will reclaim power in the 2028 general elections. He emphasized that the party’s impressive record of governance under his administration and that of former President John Agyekum Kufuor provides a solid foundation for a comeback.
Speaking on Friday, September 19, at the commissioning of the newly built Bantama Constituency NPP Office at Ahenbronum, Akufo-Addo underscored the achievements of both administrations as proof of the party’s capacity to deliver.
“The work the NPP did during my time and during former President Kufuor’s time is enormous. It is this legacy we will build on to win back power in 2028,” he said.
The former President also expressed concern over the current state of affairs under the Mahama-led administration, urging party members to stay united and resolute.
“We have all seen what is happening — things are not going well. But if we stand together, stay focused, and do things right, I am confident that with God’s help, we will reclaim power in 2028,” he added.
