The military government of Burkina Faso has confirmed the detention of an aircraft belonging to the Nigerian airforce and 11 soldiers after it allegedly violated the country's air space.

The Nigerian military Aircraft was allegedly forced by the Burkina Faso military to land in the second largest city of the country after it allegedly violated the country's airspace.

The impounded aircraft with 11 soldiers happens to be one of the Nigerian military aircrafts used for military intervention in Benin Republic over the weekend when some military men in Benin announced they have taken over the government of the country.

The government of Burkina Faso seems to be angry with the Nigerian military for intervening in Benin Republic to counter and stop a coup that was almost successful.

Davido's Uncle and Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, who was elected governor under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced his resignation from the party, citing protracted leadership crisis within the party at the national level.

According to the document he made available, his resignation letter was tender to the leadership of the party since 4th of November, 2025.
He thanked the party, the members and supporters for giving him the platform to serve as senator of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria and now as governor of Osun State.

The Presidency says that Nigeria's defence minister, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has resigned his appointment with immediate effect. According to Bayo Onanuga, the special adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the Minister resigned on health grounds, President Tinubu has accepted his resignation and has promised to announce his replacement soon.

Mohammed Badaru Abubakar is 63 years old, he had served two-terms as governor of Jigawa state from 2015 to 2023. On August 21, 2023, President Tinubu appointed him minister of defence.

Alex Otti, the governor of Abia state allegedly paid surprise visit to the detained IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Sokoto pr!son, the governor was accompanied to the pr!son facility by some Sokoto State government officials.

The governor expressed shock following the judgement delivered by Justice James Omotosho, sentencing Nnamdi Kanu to life improvement, he revealed that he has been working behind the scene to secure Nnamdi Kanu's release before he was sentenced and assured him that efforts are ongoing to secure his release.

On 20th November 2025, Kanu was sentenced to life imprisonment by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court Abuja, Nigeria, who found him guilty of terrorism and other charges, consequently, Kanu was quickly transferred to Sokoto correctional facility.

The President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has forwarded the names of 32 ambassadorial nominees to the senate for approval.

Among those he nominated are; the immediate past INEC Chairman, Prof. Yakubu Mahmood, former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan Reno Omokri, former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode, the immediate past governor of Abia State Okezie Ikpeazu, the immediate past governor of Enugu state Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and others.

Some Nigerian political analysts have described the list as political patronage as it contains the names of some of the PDP's G5 members who supported Tinubu during the 2023 Presidential election and those known to be vocal in criticising the political oppositions of the president, their making the list is seen as compensation for supporting the Tinubu led Federal government in Nigeria.

A group of military officers have seized power in Guinea-Bissau following a successful coup, the country's sitting president Umaro Sissoco Embaló is a.rrested, the army chief, his deputy and main opposition political leaders are also detained.

Guinea-Bissau conducted presidential election on Sunday 23rd November 2025, with the President declaring himself the winner, the main opposition leader also declared himself winner, even as the electoral umpire is yet to announce the results of the election.

The coup plotters said they were acting to thwart a plan by some politicians (names withheld) supported by a well-known d.rug baron to dëstabilise the country, they announced the closure of the country's borders and imposed a night-time curfew.

The minister of Livestock Development, Alhaji Mukhtar Maiha on Tuesday announced that the federal government of Nigeria has banned open grazing by cattle rearers as part of efforts to end the persistent conflicts between farmers and herders in the country.

He lamented that many persons have lost their lives, properties destroyed and many Nigerians displaced owing to the constant farmers-herders clashes, he further stated that open grazing is now considered a capital offence in Nigeria, encouraging cattle rearers to embrace ranching as a safer and more profitable method.
