When we see gestures like Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s GH¢100,000 support for Homowo, it reminds us how much value we place on our traditions. In keeping with the spirit of honoring tradition, Richard Nii Armah Quaye extended his support to this year’s Homowo festival — presenting Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiku Tsuru, with a donation of GH¢100,000 and essential items. A gesture that demonstrates how our culture continues to inspire unity, giving, and respect for heritage.

Before foreign religions came, our ancestors had their own way of connecting with the spiritual world and honoring the departed. Even today, traditions like Homowo remind us of that. Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiku Tsuru, sprinkles Kpokpoi — not just to mark the end of famine, but to honor the spirits of those who lived before us. It’s a living proof that our people always had faith, rituals, and ways of remembering long before imported religions arrived.
