Hon Effah Patrick, the Nkoranza North District Chief Executive (DCE),has cut the sod for the construction of a 24-Hour Economy model market at Kranka in the Nkoranza North District.

When completed, the market would consist of a day-care centre,a restaurant,police and fire station, a clinic and cold storage units,lockable shops,offices for market management and an improved sanitation system to support traders.

The 24-Hour Economy market forms part of President John Mahama’s nationwide “resetting agenda” , which aims at bringing government closer to citizens ,engaging the grassroots and communities, and providing updates on government policies and development initiatives.

Hon. Effah Patrick- Patoo -DCE for Nkoranza North has donated two sewing machines to Kranka Tailors and Dressmakers Association.

Hon Effah Patrick , District Chief Executive, donated the items to the beneficiaries at the fourth annual graduation ceremony of the Kranka Tailors and Dressmakers Association at Kranka .
He urged them not to keep the sewing machines under their beds but rather use them to acquire further skills to improve on their standard of living.

Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, Benin, and Togo, H.E. Simone Giger,paid a working visit to Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary as part of her visit to Bono East Region.

She was accompanied by Hon Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare Mp and Minister of Trade,Agribusiness and Industry.

Her Excellency was warmly received by the District Chief Executive,Hon Effah Patrick,Member of Parliament ,Hon Joseph Kwasi Mensah Mp-Nkoranza North and Nana Kwabena Tetteh ll,Board Chairman and Nifahene of Nkoranza Traditional Area,also doubled as Sesimahene together with the traditional leaders of Boabeng-Fiema community.

This visit symbolizes partnership,a significant moment of engagement, dialogue,tourism and cultural development.

The Nkoranza North District Assembly has successfully conducted the swearing-in of Unit Committee Members, the election of Area Council Members, and the formal inauguration of the Area Councils at Yefri,Kranka,Busunya and Dromankese.The event was attended by Hon Effah Patrick-DCE together with the Member of Parliament, Hon Joseph Kwasi Mensah-MP.

The ceremonies, held at the respective community centres, brought together newly elected local representatives, traditional authorities, Assembly officials, and residents. The events marked a significant step in strengthening local governance and deepening community participation in the district’s development process.
During the programme, newly elected Unit Committee Members were officially sworn into office, taking oaths of allegiance and office as required under the Local Governance Act.

This was followed by the election of Area Council Members, who will support the Assembly in coordinating local issues, mobilising communities, and ensuring effective service delivery at the sub-district level.

Addressing the gathering, Hon Patoo and Hon JKD commended the commitment of the new local leaders and emphasised the critical role they play in promoting grassroots development.

The inauguration of the Area Councils officially empowers them to begin operations, deliberate on community concerns, and collaborate with the District Assembly on planning and development initiatives.

The Assembly expressed confidence that the newly constituted councils will work in unity with stakeholders, traditional authorities, and residents to foster progress, enhance accountability, and promote inclusive governance across the district.

The Nkoranza North District Assembly extends its congratulations to all sworn-in members and encourages them to uphold the trust placed in them as partners in local development.

The District Chief Executive of the Nkoranzah North District (NKZND), Hon Effah Patrick,Hon Joseph Kwasi Mensah Mp(Nkz-North)together with the Bono East Regional Minister,Members of Parliament for both Kintampo North and South Constituency ,MMDCES,the family members of the First Lady(Her Excellency Dr.Lordina Mahama),both Constituency and Regional Party Executives and other dignitaries joined the good people of Nkoranza, alongside distinguished traditional leaders, to witness the grand coronation and outdooring of the Nkoranzamanhene, Nana Kwame Baffoe IV and the Nkoranzamanhemaa, Nana Yaa Sarpomaa III.
