We talk so much about duas of parents for children. But in reality I haven't made any dua more sincere than the duas I make for my Abbu and my mummy.

🤲 May Allah accept every dua we all have made for our parents.

🤲 May Allah bless all our parents with a palace of pearl in al firdous al alaa right under your arsh without any hisaab.

🤲 May Allah forgive every bad deed of our parents, the hidden and the apparent, the intentional and the unintentional, of the limb and of the tongue, the major and the minor.

🤲 May Ar Rahman raise them sinless on the day of judgement and make them from amongst the sabiqoon - ameen.

The ability to recite the Quran is not just a blessing. The fact that you are alive, the fact that you can see clearly, the fact that you can afford the mushaf (Quranic manuscript) you want, the fact that you can perform wudu (ablution) with ease, the fact that you have hot, cold, or warm water that is clean, the fact that Allah has blessed you with the time to open His book, the fact that you can recite for a few hours without breaking your wudu, without any pains or aches in your body, and without any ailment, the fact that you were guided by Allah to have a great Quran teacher, the fact that we live in a day and age where we have YouTube videos that teach you literally every tajweed (rules of Quranic recitation) rule that exists, the fact that Allah has planted the love of the Quran in your heart, the fact that Allah has given you tawfeeq (divine guidance) to make memorization a goal in your life, and the fact that tears drop from your eyes as you make dua (supplication) to be a carrier of the Quran.

Next time you sit with the Quran, think of all these blessings. You are not "just" reciting the Quran in a vacuum; you are surrounded by blessings!

Abdullah ibn Amr رضي الله عنهما reported that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “Fasting and the Quran will intercede for the servant on the Day of Resurrection. Fasting will say: O Lord, I prevented him from food and desires during the day, so let me intercede for him. The Quran will say: O Lord, I prevented him from sleeping during the night, so let me intercede for him. Thus, they will both intercede for him.” (Musnad Imam Ahmad, Hadith Number 6626)

Let's reflect on the benefits derived from this profound hadith:

1. Intercession of Fasting and Quran: The hadith illustrates the immense reward and intercession granted to those who diligently observe fasting and engage in night prayers (Tahajjud). Fasting, having deprived the servant from worldly desires during the day, and the Quran, having kept them engaged in worship during the night, will intercede on behalf of the believer on the Day of Resurrection.

2. Virtue of Night Prayer: Engaging in recitation of the Quran during the night prayers holds immense virtue. It demonstrates our dedication to seeking closeness to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ and striving to uphold His commands even when others are asleep. This act of worship is highly esteemed in Islam, offering spiritual nourishment and guidance.

3. Benefit of Righteous Actions: The hadith underscores the significance of righteous actions in earning Allah's mercy and favor. By fasting and dedicating ourselves to the Quran, we align ourselves with deeds that plead on our behalf in the Hereafter, showcasing the mercy and grace of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ.
May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ grant us the strength and sincerity to embrace fasting and night prayers, and may He accept our efforts and grant us the intercession of fasting and the Quran on the Day of Judgment.

He was rebuilding the team to redeem its image on the continent but some Ghanaian politicians and journalists painted him black for the appointment of ‘outmoded’ Chris Hughton

Their daily rants on radio, TV and social media made most Ghanaians fell for Hughton, who was not even considered by English League One team because of his tactical bankruptcy.

Otto Addo only asked for a long-term contract to quit his role at Broussia Dortmund, he wasn't ready for two or three year contract. He wanted to be supported like Senegal and Aliou Cisse marriage. He believed the young Black Stars will end the country's 42-year trophy drought.
