The above Radio station,the first Commercial FM broadcasting station in the Eastern Region of the Republic of Ghana was established on 11th July 19
96 primarily to cater for Education,Entertainment,Information,Communication,News,Advertising and other miscellaneous civic and business services in the Birim belt. Due to harmonic interference the National Communications Authority assigned the frequency 94.1MHZ on 23rd September1997 to replace the 101.9MHZ assigned earlier on. The name BIYAC(Birim Youth For Action) was chosen to project the name of the Municipality and to attract national and international recognition through the propagation of National Unity in the Birim Central Municipality and in Ghana as a whole through the medium of Radio although our priority areas still include North and South Birim Districts,the Kwaebibirem Districts,the West Akyem District and Agona District. It has been strategically located in the capital town of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area to serve as a catalyst for Socio-Economic development.With the current trend of national development,Social change and democratization,information dissemination has become the wheel upon which economic growth thrives.As a result,BIYAC FM seeks to become a platform for effective and efficient information delivery in it's catchment area. To achieve this objective and make up for the lapses of our Competitors,

Engineering,Marketing,Finance and Investigative Journalism,manage the affairs of the Radio Station backed by seasonal presenters and resource personnel. BIYAC FM can boast of better quality sound transmission from Akyem Oda using
Solid State Digital Transmitter and state of the Art Studio Equipment having a radius of coverage of more than 180KM.The Radio has Strong Signal in 7 Regions
of Ghana,namely Eastern,Western,Central,Greater-Accra,Ashanti,Volta and
Brong-Ahafo. BIYAC FM(94.1MHZ) is very POPULAR in the following towns: Nkawkaw,Abetifi,
Akwatia,Nsawam,Asamankese,Koforidua,Cape Coast,Agona Swedru,Manketsim,
Anomabo,Breman-Asikuma,Kokoben,Wineba,Saltpong,Assin Fosu,Accra(Kasoa,
