HIS EXCELLENCY JOHN MAHAMA MAKES HISTORY WITH GROUNDBREAKING STATE VISIT TO SINGAPORE!
His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has made history as the first Ghanaian President ever to be invited by a President of Singapore on a State Visit.
But this visit was not just a ceremonial milestone—it has become a game-changer for Ghana’s economic and developmental future. US$1 billion worth of investment deals have been secured, laying the foundation for Ghana’s transformation under President Mahama’s Reset Agenda.
Here are some of the major investment partnerships:
1. OLAM Investment (US$200 million)
Establishing new projects in Ghana, including:
A 43,000 metric ton pasta processing plant to be opened next year.
Feed processing plants for poultry and aquaculture.
Expected Jobs: 4,000 new opportunities for Ghanaians.
2. Shangri-La 5-Star Hotel & Grand Mall (US$300 million)
A green, ultra-modern iconic 5-Star Hotel.
Grand mall featuring both local and international brands.
A world-class convention centre to position Ghana as West Africa’s conference destination.

8. Central Bank Collaboration — Ghana and Singapore to launch a common payment platform to enhance trade and international commerce between Africa and Asia.
9. TVET Partnership with Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) — to establish a model Accra Institute of Technology for technical and vocational education.
10. Carbon Credit Agreement Projects Ex*****on — for climate action and sustainability.
Diplomatic Breakthroughs:
Ghana and Singapore signed an MoU for regular high-level political consultations.
Negotiations for a Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) will soon be finalized.
Capacity building cooperation for forensic investigators to support ORAL initiatives.
Public Service Reset Initiative:
The first batch of 18 Chief Directors from Ghana’s Ministries will travel to Singapore next month (September 2025) for an intensive capacity-building and leadership bootcamp.
Strengthening Bilateral Ties:
Ghana will establish a Consulate in Singapore by 2026.
Singapore has already opened Enterprise Singapore in Accra to oversee its West African investment portfolio.
As President Tharman Shanmugaratnam of Singapore remarked:
> “President Mahama is a man on a mission. He is determined to see his country and its young population succeed.”
This historic collaboration revives the legacy of Kwame Nkrumah and Lee Kuan Yew, two great modern founding fathers and friends, whose vision for Ghana-Singapore relations is now being rekindled with impactful results.
This is not just diplomacy—it is transformation in action.
This is the Reset Ghanaians voted for, overwhelmingly.
For God and Country 🇬đź‡đź™ŹđźŹľ
