Today, students are casting their votes to elect their prefects in what is the school’s first-ever ballot-box election. This initiative gives students a real-life experience of how voting works while encouraging leadership, responsibility, and active participation.

Although voting is still ongoing, the enthusiasm and engagement on display have been impressive to witness.

Congratulations to Anita Efiba Azafoe on graduating from Ashesi University.

From selling abolo at the Sogakope barrier to earning a degree from Ashesi, Anita’s journey has become one of the most inspiring stories to come out of Sogakope in recent years.

Special thanks goes to Caleb Kudah, whose support and belief in Anita helped bring her story to light, as well as the Cartier Scholarship initiative, Ashesi University, her family, mentors, and everyone who played a role in making this dream possible.

Today, we celebrates not only Anita’s graduation but also what can happen when young people are given opportunities, support, and people who genuinely invest in their future.

We hope stories like Anita’s inspire more scholarships, mentorship, and opportunities for the many talented young people across Sogakope.
