As part of the Girl Child Empowerment Initiative, Manye Ohipeme Dede Yoweh Agor, the Queen Mother of Okper, served as a guest speaker at the 10th Biennial Diocesan Conference of the Methodist Girls’ Fellowship in the Methodist Church Ghana, Somanya Diocese. The conference was held from Friday, June 20, to Sunday, June 22, 2025, at El Hostel, Ogome Somanya.

SWEARING-IN OF NEW CHIEFS AND INAUGURATION OF COMMITTEES OF THE YILO KROBO TRADITIONAL COUNCIL

On June 19, 2025, the Yilo Krobo Traditional Council, which consists of the six divisional chiefs (Plau, Bornya, Bunasi, Ogome, Nyewer, and Okper), along with their queens, sub-chiefs, and odikro, held a ceremony to swear in new leaders.

Names of Chiefs and Queens Sworn In:

1. Asafoatse Bedu Opata Korlay II - Sub-Chief
2. Nene Madjan Kenetey I - Sub-Chief
3. Manye Maku Zuta - Divisional Queen
4. Asafoate Tetteh Kofi Kakari III - Sub-Chief
5. Dadematse Kwao Stephen Tetteh - Odikro
6. Nene Anyeenorgu Teye Agor IX - Divisional Chief
7. Dade Manye Kwao-Kumah Yohuno - Odikro

Notable attendees included His Lordship Justice Fredrick A.W.K Nawurarah, Justice of the High Court of Yilo Krobo, as well as the Yilo Krobo Police Commander and other community leaders.
