A CCTV footage has shed light on the operation of a criminal syndicate based in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Following the arrest of suspects by the Ashanti Regional Police Command on Monday, June 23, this footage shows how members of the syndicate trail bank customers and break into their parked vehicles.
Captured at Kumasi’s Anloga Junction, the video shows a man casually pretending to be on a phone call while leaning against a Toyota Rav4. Moments later, he discreetly breaks into a nearby parked vehicle, removes a bag, and makes a swift getaway on a waiting motorbike. Intriguingly, the Rav4 he had leaned on also speeds off immediately after, raising strong suspicions of a well-coordinated theft operation.
