DEFINITION OF SUCCESS IN MINISTRY

The Definition of Success in Ministry is Faithfulness to God and your assignment to the End.

In a world where success is often measured by material gain, the call to ministry challenges this notion by redefining success as faithfulness to God’s call.

The Bible consistently teaches that success in ministry is not about wealth, fame, or numbers but about being faithful to the purpose for which God has called us. As the Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 4:2, “It is required in stewards that a man be found faithful.” The true measure of success, therefore, is obedience and dedication to God's calling, not outward achievement.

1. Running with Patience and Obedience

Hebrews 12:1 encourages us to "run the race with patience." Ministry is not a sprint where quick gains determine the victor; it’s a marathon that demands endurance and obedience. While God doesn’t endorse laziness or lukewarmness, He measures our progress by how well we align with His will and purpose. Speed in ministry, therefore, is defined by patient obedience to Christ, not by quick accomplishments or superficial achievements. It is about being consistent, humble, and devoted to the work God has placed in our hands.

2. The Danger of Materialism in Ministry

Unfortunately, in today’s society, many young preachers are pressured to equate success with material acquisition. They feel the weight of expectations that success means owning wealth, growing a large following, or being widely accepted. This pressure can lead to compromises, such as falling into greed, money-driven motives, and even occultic practices in pursuit of recognition.

This misunderstanding has caused many to wander away from their true calling, chasing after things that do not reflect God’s heart. Preachers who pursue wealth at the expense of faithfulness are in danger of losing the essence of their calling. The Scripture warns us against this in 1 Timothy 6:9, where it says that those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a trap.

3. Faithfulness in the Little Things

Jesus teaches in Luke 16:10, "He who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much." This means that God values how we handle small tasks as much as He values our ability to take on larger responsibilities. Faithfulness is about serving diligently where God has placed us, no matter how small or insignificant that service may seem.

The focus should be on faithfulness to the task God has given, not on acquiring more material possessions or achieving public recognition. A preacher can work hard, increase wealth, and God can prosper their efforts. But true success in ministry is measured by the integrity and faithfulness with which one fulfills their divine assignment.

4. Teaching Right to Protect the Next Generation

We have a responsibility to teach proper doctrine and guide the next generation of ministers. Success must be redefined for young preachers and believers alike: it is faithfulness to God, not the pursuit of material gains or status. This protects them from the snares of greed and covetousness and encourages them to remain focused on their true calling.

Too many people condemn themselves as failures simply because they don’t have money or material success. This mindset needs to be corrected. A faithful servant is successful in God’s eyes, and His reward is far more valuable than anything the world can offer. By teaching this, we safeguard future ministers from the dangers of compromise and lead them to walk in the purity of their calling.

5. Re-define ministry success in the context of Scripture and you shall have a stress-free ministry .

The definition of success in ministry is not defined by external wealth or fame but by faithfulness to the end. Faithfulness in small things, obedience to God’s purpose, and patient endurance in the face of challenges are what truly matter.

As ministers and stewards of God’s calling, our primary goal should be to honor Him by being steadfast and true to His will, knowing that in due time, He will reward our faithfulness.

THE PRICE OF THE GOSPEL : The Sacrifices and Suffering of Missionaries

To all the missionaries across the globe, you are the unsung heroes of our faith—soldiers of Christ who have taken up the call to go to the farthest corners of the earth, carrying the Gospel to the lost, the broken, and the forgotten. The work you do, though often hidden from the eyes of the world, is of eternal significance. While others may chase fame and comfort, you have chosen the narrow path—a path paved with sacrifice, suffering, and relentless faith.

The Price of the Call

Missionaries face challenges that are both seen and unseen. You encounter:

Insults and Persecution: Like the early apostles, many of you have been ridiculed, mocked, and persecuted for the sake of Christ. Whether it’s verbal abuse, exclusion, or physical threats, you bear the scars of a world that has rejected the Gospel message. Jesus said, "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first" (John 15:18). The persecution you face is evidence of your partnership in the sufferings of Christ. Take heart—your suffering is not in vain.

Family Struggles:

Many missionaries make the ultimate sacrifice of leaving their families behind or raising children in difficult and dangerous environments. The weight of missing milestones, holidays, and everyday family moments can be heavy. Yet, you trust in the Lord who said, "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life" (Matthew 19:29).

Health and Finances:

For some, the toll on your body and health is enormous. You serve in areas with poor healthcare, risking disease and illness. Many of you are underfunded, living in difficult financial situations where every dollar must stretch to meet both your personal needs and the needs of your ministry. Yet, you cling to the promise that "My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

The Hope of the Lost

In these perilous end-times, the lost are crying out for hope. You are their hope, sent by God to bring light where there is darkness, truth where there is confusion, and salvation where there is despair. You may never be recognized by the world. You may not have a platform or popularity. But in the courts of heaven, you are known by name. Your sacrifices echo throughout eternity, and your reward will not fail.

Jesus told us, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15). This Great Commission comes with great cost, but it also comes with eternal rewards. Every soul you reach, every heart that is transformed by the message of Christ, brings glory to God and builds His kingdom. Do not give up—you are making an eternal impact.

Stand Firm

Stand Firm Amidst Modern-Day Distractions
In today's world, it’s easy to be distracted by trends, technology, and the temptation to dilute the Gospel for the sake of relevance. But I encourage you to remain steadfast. Do not compromise the message of salvation. Hold firm to the truth of God's Word, and let your life be a testimony of His grace, love, and power. The distractions of modern ministry may glitter, but they are fleeting. Your service to the Lord, however, will stand the test of time.

You Are Not Forgotten

Men may forget you, overlook you, or even despise you. But God has never forgotten you. He sees every tear, every step, every sacrifice. Your name is written in the Book of Life, and your crown is awaiting you in heaven. Galatians 6:9 encourages us, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. The harvest is coming.

A Call to Perseverance

Dear missionaries, persevere. Your work is not in vain. The seeds you are sowing will bear fruit in due season. You are the hope for the nations. You are the hands and feet of Christ. Your sacrifices, though hidden from the eyes of men, are seen by the Father. Continue to press forward, continue to sacrifice, continue to love, and continue to share the Good News.

Your reward is sure. Your mission is holy. And the Lord is with you. Remember that even when the world does not see you, God sees you. When you are weary, He is your strength. When you are discouraged, He is your comfort. When you are forgotten by men, you are remembered by God.

Well done, good and faithful servants—your labor is not in vain.

In Christ’s service,

MINISTRY ALERT !!!!

URGENT MESSAGE FOR YOU ...PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU START ANYTHING IN MINISTRY ..

Ministry can be full of challenges, and many of these struggles come from stepping outside of what God has truly called you to do. It’s important to recognize that not every task or responsibility is meant for you.

When we take on assignments that we are not anointed or equipped for, we invite unnecessary stress, frustration, and even burnout. Ministry becomes hard when we stray from our God-given purpose. The key to thriving in ministry is clarity—understanding your specific role and calling. This means being patient, seeking God’s guidance, and allowing Him to direct your steps.

The pressure to please others or to meet expectations outside of God's leading can be overwhelming, but it’s essential to resist that urge. In these end-times, focus on obeying God rather than trying to meet the demands of people. The Bible reminds us that "the way of the transgressor is hard" (Proverbs 13:15, KJV). Stepping outside of God's plan or jumping from one responsibility to another in an attempt to impress others only leads to hardship.

PLEASE NOTE :

Ministry is not about pleasing people but about serving God in the specific capacity He has assigned to you. Be diligent in your calling, stay focused on the direction He gives, and you will find peace and purpose in your work.Stay grounded, avoid unnecessary distractions, and remember that true success in ministry comes from obedience to God, not from trying to live up to the expectations of others.

Lets keep learning !!!

WHO ARE YOUR ENEMIES - UNDERSTANDING THE PURPOSE OF ENEMIES IN GOD'S PLAN.

In a biblical context, an "enemy" refers to individuals or forces that oppose or harm us, whether through direct conflict, spiritual opposition, internal struggles, or systemic injustice. Such enemies can present significant challenges and cause harm.

Why Are My Enemies Still Alive After I Asked God to Remove Them?

Dealing with enemies can be profoundly difficult, leading many believers to pray for their removal. However, God’s purpose often involves using these adversaries not for their destruction but for the potential salvation of those who might repent. This principle is particularly true for human enemies, unlike Satan and his demons who are beyond repentance.

1. Enemies as Instruments of Growth

Enemies play a key role in our spiritual development by challenging our character and faith. Through adversity, including that caused by enemies, we learn patience, resilience, and trust in God's timing and justice.

Scriptural Reference: Romans 5:3-4 - "For we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."

2. Enemies as Catalysts for Obedience and Focus

Our adversaries often drive us to focus more intently on our spiritual mission and to seek God's guidance. This pursuit helps us remain aligned with God's will and enhances our spiritual growth.

Scriptural Reference: Luke 6:28 - "Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."

3. God’s Purpose in Allowing Enemies

Enemies can serve divine purposes by refining our faith, teaching forgiveness, and highlighting our reliance on God. These challenges help us grow into Christlike characters and prepare us for greater service.

Scriptural Reference: Genesis 50:20 - "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."

4. Why God Doesn’t Remove All Enemies

God allows enemies to remain because they are instrumental in the sanctification process. Premature removal could impede our development and the virtues that arise from enduring trials.

Scriptural Reference: John 16:33 - "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

5. The Call to Love Our Enemies

Loving our enemies is a testament to our faith and obedience. It reflects God’s grace and mercy and aligns us with His character, showing true love and forgiveness.

Scriptural Reference: Matthew 5:44 - "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."

6. Enemies as Opportunities for Witness

Our reactions to enemies can serve as powerful testimonies to others. Demonstrating love and maintaining integrity in the face of opposition can attract others to Christ and encourage their spiritual journeys.

Scriptural Reference: 1 Peter 3:15 - "In your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect."

7. The Role of Forgiveness in Healing

Forgiveness is vital for personal healing and spiritual growth. Holding onto resentment can obstruct our relationship with God, while forgiveness releases us from bitterness and aligns us with His peace.

Scriptural Reference: Matthew 6:12 - "And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors."

Let God Handle Matters

Trusting in God's sovereignty means acknowledging His perfect authority over all creation, including justice and judgment. His judgments are always just, and trusting Him prevents us from acting out of vengeance, allowing us to focus on love and grace.

Scriptural Reference: Psalm 7:11 - "The LORD is a righteous judge, a God who displays his wrath every day."

Avoiding Vengeance

Taking judgment into our own hands can lead to vengeful actions that are contrary to God’s will. By leaving vengeance to God, we avoid the pitfalls of revenge and trust Him to address wrongs.

Scriptural Reference: Romans 12:19 - "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord."

Focus on Love and Forgiveness

Our focus should be on embodying love and forgiveness, as emphasized by Jesus. By trusting God to handle judgment, we can concentrate on reflecting His character in our relationships.

Scriptural Reference: Matthew 5:44 - "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."

Trusting in God’s Timing

God’s timing is always perfect. Trusting Him involves believing that He will act when it is right and just, allowing us to remain faithful and patient as He handles matters of judgment.

Scriptural Reference: Ecclesiastes 3:11 - "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end."

In Conclusion:

Though God has granted us authority over the enemy’s powers, He remains in control, ensuring our protection. Enemies are part of God’s plan to develop our character, deepen our faith, and keep us focused on His purpose. Rather than seeking their removal, we should embrace the growth that comes from facing these trials with grace and perseverance.

Prayer Point :

Pray for Grace in Trials: Seek God’s help to respond to adversities with wisdom and grace. Ask for strength to love and forgive those who oppose you and to use these experiences for spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with Him.

Affirmation :

Affirmation of Overcoming Adversity: "I affirm that through God’s strength, I can overcome adversities and grow in character. I embrace the challenges brought by my enemies as opportunities for spiritual growth and remain steadfast in love and obedience, reflecting His grace in all circumstances."

WHO IS A MAN OF GOD ?

Lets learn from the Holy Bible :

A "man of God" is a term used in the Bible to describe someone who has been chosen, called, and anointed by God to carry out His divine purposes. This person lives in obedience to God's will, demonstrates a deep relationship with Him, and exhibits characteristics that reflect God's nature. Here’s a scriptural exploration of what it means to be a man of God:

1. Called and Appointed by God
A man of God is someone who has been specifically called and appointed by God for a particular mission or purpose. This calling often involves leadership, teaching, or prophecy, guiding others toward God’s will.
Scriptural Reference: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5)

Example: Jeremiah was chosen by God even before his birth to be a prophet, demonstrating that a man of God is divinely appointed.

2. Lives in Obedience to God’s Word

A man of God is characterized by his obedience to God’s commandments and His Word. He not only hears God’s instructions but also follows them faithfully, regardless of the cost.
Scriptural Reference: "But as for you, O man of God, flee these things; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness." (1 Timothy 6:11)

Example: Paul instructs Timothy, calling him a "man of God," to pursue virtues that reflect a godly life, showing that obedience is a hallmark of a man of God.

3. Reflects God’s Character
A man of God reflects the character of God in his daily life. This includes exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Scriptural Reference: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." (Galatians 5:22-23)

Example: The Apostle Paul embodies these fruits in his ministry, showing that a man of God mirrors God's character.

4. Speaks God’s Word
A man of God is often a spokesperson for God, delivering His messages to others. Whether through preaching, teaching, or prophecy, a man of God communicates God’s Word with authority and clarity.

Scriptural Reference: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Example: Timothy is encouraged to rely on Scripture for teaching and guidance, indicating that a man of God speaks according to God’s Word.

5. Exhibits Integrity and Righteousness

Integrity and righteousness are key characteristics of a man of God. He lives a life that is blameless, honest, and upright, setting an example for others to follow.
Scriptural Reference: "For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless." (Psalm 84:11)

Example: Job is described as a man who is "blameless and upright" (Job 1:1), showing that a man of God maintains his integrity before God and men.

6. Leads Others to God

A man of God plays a significant role in leading others to a deeper relationship with God. His life and teachings inspire others to seek God and live according to His will.
Scriptural Reference: "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)

Example: Jesus instructs His followers to be a light to the world, guiding others toward God through their example.

IN CONCLUSION :

A man of God is someone chosen and empowered by God to fulfill His purposes. This person lives a life marked by obedience, integrity, and a deep relationship with God. He reflects God's character, speaks His Word, and leads others to a closer walk with the Lord. Recognizing a man of God involves seeing these qualities in his life, as they align with the teachings and examples found in Scripture.

WHY SHOULD I FOLLOW A MAN OF GOD ? FEW LESSONS FROM THE BIBLE.

1. Divine Appointment and Leadership

From the earliest days of human history, individuals have been called to lead others towards a deeper understanding of God. These leaders, though imperfect, are chosen by God to carry out His divine will. The Bible provides numerous examples of such leaders, like Moses, who led the Israelites out of Egypt (Exodus 3:10), Elijah, who confronted the prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18:36-39), and Paul, who spread the Gospel to the Gentiles (Acts 9:15).
Scriptural Reference: "I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt." (Exodus 3:10)

2. Following with Discernment and Humility

Following a man of God is not about exalting the individual but about recognizing the divine authority behind his leadership. It requires spiritual discernment to identify the fruits of his ministry—humility, integrity, and a deep devotion to God. This discernment ensures that one follows a leader appointed by God and not by human ambition.
Scriptural Reference: "You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn, bushes or figs from thistles?" (Matthew 7:16)

3. The Role of Spiritual Sensitivity

Recognizing a man of God necessitates spiritual sensitivity, an attunement to the Holy Spirit's leading. This sensitivity allows believers to see beyond the outward appearance and discern the true nature of the leader's calling. It involves prayer, reflection, and seeking God's guidance in choosing whom to follow.
Scriptural Reference: "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1 Corinthians 2:14)

4. The Example of Biblical Leaders
Throughout the Bible, leaders like Moses, Elijah, and Paul serve as examples of what it means to be called by God. These men were not chosen because of their own strength or merit but because God had a purpose for them. Their leadership was marked by obedience to God, humility, and a commitment to serving His people.
Scriptural Reference: "And the LORD said to Moses, 'See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.'" (Exodus 7:1)

5. The Importance of Spiritual Fruits
The evidence of a true man of God is in his fruits—his character, actions, and impact on others. A leader called by God will demonstrate the fruits of the Spirit, including love, joy, peace, and patience, as outlined in Galatians 5:22-23. These fruits are a testament to the leader's relationship with God and his commitment to His service.
Scriptural Reference: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control." (Galatians 5:22-23)

KEY LESSON :

Recognizing and following a man of God requires spiritual sensitivity, discernment, and humility. True leaders are marked by their fruits, humility, integrity, and devotion to God. Their leadership is a reflection of divine appointment, and following them is an acknowledgment of God's order and purpose.

CAUTION :

Do not be in a hurry to submit to a preacher because of his luxury, fame or political connection. Remember "spiritual fatherhood" and mentorship is all about being raised and built up in the knowledge of God , so you can become all what God wants you to be in His holy Purpose. It is not about following to gain fame and money . Spiritual fatherhood cannot be bought with money, neither should spiritual fathers use their fame to seduce sons into their fold. Spiritual fatherhood is not transactional-money based. If a preacher is not balanced in Word and doctrine , such a person cannot be a father. A ministers doctrinal balance , godly lifestyle , example of faith , integrity and love for God and humanity qualifies Him as a father. The focus of Spiritual fathers is to make disciples as Christ has commanded ! if you are following a man of God who is not interested in your spiritual growth, you have a wrong mentor. MOVE AWAY !
