Mike Foundation has done it again, this time the foundation led by its founder Mr Michael Sulemana has donated 3000 pieces of sanitary pads to about 360 female pupils from the Methodist Basic School, Catholic Basic School and the Anglican Basic School all in Manso in the Mpohor District of the Western Region.

The gesture commemorates World’s Menstrual hygiene day celebrated on May 28th under the theme “Breaking Stigma: Discover the World of Menstrual Hygiene”.

According to the founder of the Mike Foundation, Mr Michael Sulemana chose the Manso community for their annual support to communities and people indeed was based on their needs assessment which points to the fact that female pupils in the area are still using the old method of handling the me**es when their period is due.

This he explains resulted from numerous challenges confronting them (parents). Top among these challenges was the economic and the myth of using sanitary pads.

The foundation in collaboration with Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital used the occasion to give the Manso community free health screening yesterday 2nd June 2023.

It is worth mentioning that the donation from MIKE Foundation is in line with its slogan, “Service to Humanity”.
