Every day as an Administrator, Programmes Coordinator, and Project Coordinator presents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Administrators, Programmes Coordinators, and Project Coordinators play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of organizations by managing administrative functions, coordinating programmes and projects, facilitating communication, engaging stakeholders, and supporting the achievement of organizational goals.

From managing office operations and coordinating schedules to overseeing programme activities, tracking project progress, preparing reports, and ensuring the timely completion of tasks, these roles require organization, adaptability, leadership, and attention to detail.

Behind every successful programme and project is effective planning, collaboration, and consistent follow-up. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to organizational growth by supporting teams, streamlining processes, and helping transform ideas into meaningful outcomes.

The journey continues to strengthen my skills in leadership, communication, project management, stakeholder engagement, and organizational development.

Success is not only about completing tasks; it is about creating systems, programmes, and projects that positively impact people and communities.

Why Drug Abuse Is Rising Among the Youth

Recently, many conversations have been taking place about the rising incidence of drug abuse among young people.

This growing concern highlights the need to better understand the factors contributing to the problem and work together to address them.

Drug abuse among young people is on the rise due to a combination of factors, including peer pressure, stress, unemployment, curiosity, family challenges, and easy access to substances.

Many youths also face mental health challenges and may turn to drugs as a coping mechanism. Unfortunately, this often worsens their problems rather than solving them.

This growing concern requires a collective response from families, schools, communities, faith-based organizations, and policymakers.

Through education, mentorship, emotional support, and opportunities for personal development, we can empower young people to make healthier choices and realize their full potential.

Prevention is better than cure. Investing in our youth today is an investment in a healthier, safer, and more productive society tomorrow.

Why Mental Health Education Should Be Part of School Life.

When we talk about education, we often focus on academics — mathematics, science, literature, and examinations. But what about the skills that help students navigate life itself?

School should not only prepare students for certificates and university admissions; it should also prepare them for life. One of the most important lessons often missing in our educational system is mental health education.

Adolescence is a critical stage of development where many mental health challenges first emerge. Anxiety, depression, stress, and emotional struggles often begin during these years, yet many students are not equipped with the knowledge or support needed to recognize and manage them.

Without guidance, these challenges can affect academic performance, relationships, confidence, and long-term wellbeing.

By integrating mental health education into school curricula, schools can help students:
✔️ Recognize early warning signs
✔️ Build emotional resilience
✔️ Normalize conversations around mental wellbeing
✔️ Seek help without fear or stigma
✔️ Understand that wellbeing is just as important as academic success

Mental health education is not optional; it is essential. Schools must embrace it as a core part of nurturing the whole student — both mind and body.

If you run a private school in Tamale and would like to partner with us, we are always ready to connect. Let us work together to promote mental wellness among students and build healthier school communities.

On 9th May 2026, I had the privilege of serving as a mentor at Career Summit 2026, organized by the Linda Coffie Foundation for JHS students.

The summit brought together experts from diverse fields and industries to help shape the students’ visions and guide them in exploring the career paths they aspire to pursue.

The program recorded a great turnout and was practical, relatable, and highly engaging, creating a meaningful learning experience for the students.

My special thanks to the Founder and Executive Director of Linda Coffie Foundation, Mrs Linda Coffie and her team for the opportunity to contribute to such an impactful initiative.

Mental Health Awareness: Being Nice Goes A Long Way.

Being nice is not just about good manners—it is about showing empathy, understanding, and compassion. A kind word, a smile, or taking a moment to listen can help someone feel seen, valued, and less alone.

You may never fully know what someone is going through, but your kindness could be the light they need in a difficult moment.

Let us all make a conscious effort to be kinder, more patient, and more supportive.

Because sometimes, the smallest gestures can have the greatest impact on someone’s mental well-being.

Curiosity and Drug Abuse: When “Just Trying” Becomes a Risk.

Curiosity is a natural part of being human. It helps us learn, explore, and grow. But sometimes, curiosity can also lead people—especially young people—into risky behaviors, including drug use.

Many individuals do not start using drugs because they plan to become addicted. In fact, some begin out of simple curiosity. They may wonder what it feels like, why others are doing it, or whether the experience is really as “good” as people say. This desire to “just try once” can open the door to substance abuse.

Peer influence also plays a strong role. When friends or people around someone are using drugs, curiosity increases.

A person may feel pressure to fit in or avoid being seen as different. In such situations, curiosity mixes with the need for acceptance, making it easier to make harmful choices.

Another factor is misinformation. Some people are told that certain substances are harmless or not addictive. Out of curiosity, they try them, not fully understanding the risks involved.

Unfortunately, even one trial can sometimes lead to repeated use, especially if the substance creates a temporary feeling of pleasure or escape.

Over time, what started as curiosity can turn into habit, dependence, and eventually addiction.

This can affect a person’s health, relationships, education, and future goals.

To address this issue, education is very important. Young people need clear and honest information about the dangers of drug use. Communities, schools, and families must create safe spaces where questions can be asked and answered without judgment.

When curiosity is guided with the right knowledge, it can lead to positive choices instead of harmful ones.

Curiosity itself is not bad—but when it is not guided, it can lead to dangerous paths like drug abuse.

By providing proper education, support, and awareness, we can help young people make informed decisions and protect their future.
