MARIAM

Love was never supposed to be this complicated…

Samuel and Jennet had something real—pure love, laughter, and a future full of hope. But everything begins to fall apart when Mariam, Samuel’s sister, suddenly develops a deep hatred for Jennet… for no reason.

No insults.
No betrayal.
No past history.

Just… hate.

As tension rises, love is tested, hearts are broken, and a relationship that once felt unbreakable begins to crumble.

But the shocking truth?

Mariam’s hatred was born from a dream.

A dream she believed…
A dream she trusted…
A dream that nearly destroyed everything.

Now, with love hanging by a thread, one question remains:

Can forgiveness fix what a dream has broken… or is it already too late?

💔 A powerful story about love, jealousy, misunderstanding, and the danger of believing what isn’t real.

A Story of Love, Dreams, and Misunderstanding

The morning was supposed to be peaceful, but inside Mariam’s house, tension filled the air like a storm waiting to explode.

“Mariam!” Samuel shouted angrily, pacing back and forth. “Let me ask you something—what exactly is your problem? Are you going to marry me or not? What is the meaning of this behaviour?”

Mariam stood still, her arms folded tightly across her chest, her face serious and unyielding.

“I am saying I don’t like that lady,” she replied coldly. “And I don’t want to see her. It’s simple.”

Samuel stopped and stared at her in disbelief. “What did she do to you? Tell me! What kind of treatment is this?”

“I don’t need a reason,” Mariam snapped. “If you think you are a man and ready to marry, go and rent your own house. It’s simple.”

Her words hit him hard. Samuel shook his head slowly, frustration building inside him.

“Mariam… don’t let me call you names.”

“Then don’t,” she replied without hesitation.

Silence fell between them, thick and uncomfortable. Without another word, Mariam turned and walked away, leaving Samuel standing there, confused and hurt.

Later that day, Samuel sat outside with his friend Kagawa, his mind heavy with thoughts.

“Man, what is wrong with you?” Kagawa asked. “You won’t die because of a woman. Jennet hasn’t even said she doesn’t love you. She loves you, so what is your problem?”

Samuel sighed deeply. “You’re not understanding. My problem is my sister. She says she doesn’t like Jennet, and if I ask her why, she just repeats the same thing—she doesn’t like her.”

Kagawa frowned. “Sam, this is the time to show you are a man. How can you allow your sister to make decisions for you? That kind of thinking will destroy you.”

Samuel looked away. “Mariam is a troublesome sister.”

But the truth was deeper than that.

It all started the day Samuel met Jennet.

She had been walking along the roadside with her friend Bella, laughing about something light and carefree. Samuel noticed her immediately. Something about her smile pulled him in, and before he could talk himself out of it, he approached.

“Hello… please, can I talk to you?” he said nervously.

Jennet looked at him with curiosity. “Okay… what is it?”

“You look beautiful,” Samuel said honestly. “Can I have your number so we can talk more? I know you’re going somewhere.”

Jennet exchanged a quick glance with Bella, then smiled. “Give me your phone.”

As she entered her number, Samuel felt his heart race.

“I’ll call you,” he said happily.

Bella laughed softly. “Jennet, this is cute. I like him.”

Jennet smiled. “Do you really?”

That simple moment marked the beginning of something special.

From that day, Samuel and Jennet grew close. They spent hours talking on the phone, laughing, sharing secrets, and building a connection that felt real and strong. Their love grew naturally, without force, and before long, Samuel knew he wanted a future with her.

One day, unable to hide his excitement, Samuel rushed home.

“Mariam,” he said with a wide smile, “I’m in love.”

Mariam raised an eyebrow. “You are in love? Really? Let me see her.”

Samuel showed her Jennet’s picture.

“She’s fine,” Mariam said shortly.

But behind her calm face, something dark had already begun to grow.

Days passed, and Samuel decided it was time for Jennet to visit his home.

Standing outside, he spoke to her on the phone.

“Jennet, where are you now? I hope you can find the place.”

“I’m at your gate,” she replied.

“I’m coming,” Samuel said excitedly.

Just then, Mariam appeared.

“What are you doing out here?” she asked.

“My babe is coming,” Samuel said proudly.

Mariam forced a smile. “I can’t wait to see her.”

But suddenly, her phone rang.

“Hello? Oh… I’m coming,” she said quickly before walking away.

Samuel didn’t think much of it.

Meanwhile, Jennet stepped into the compound, looking around for Samuel. Before she could call out, Mariam suddenly appeared in front of her.

“What are you doing here?” Mariam demanded harshly.

Jennet blinked in confusion. “Do I know you? I’m here to see Samuel.”

“He’s not here,” Mariam replied coldly. “Leave.”

Jennet frowned. “But he called me—”

“Leave now,” Mariam said, stepping closer. “Or you’ll see my bad side.”

Jennet felt embarrassed and confused. She had never met this woman before, yet she was being treated like an enemy.

“Fine,” she said quietly. “Tell him I was here.”

She turned and walked away slowly, her heart heavy.

Moments later, Samuel returned.

“Mariam, have you seen my girlfriend?” he asked.

“No,” she replied calmly.

Samuel didn’t suspect anything.

But the truth didn’t stay hidden for long.

The next time Samuel brought Jennet home himself, everything exploded.

“Why are you here again?” Mariam shouted the moment she saw Jennet.

Samuel stepped forward. “Mariam, this is the lady I told you about. She is my girlfriend.”

“I don’t care,” Mariam snapped. “She is not entering this house.”

Jennet looked at Samuel, hurt clearly written on her face.

“It’s okay,” she said softly. “I’ll go.”

Samuel watched helplessly as she left.

“Mariam!” he shouted in anger.

That moment changed everything.

Jennet returned home heartbroken. She sat quietly while Bella tried to comfort her.

“Jennet, you have to stop thinking too much,” Bella said.

“Can you imagine?” Jennet replied. “I went to Samuel’s house, and his sister insulted me. I don’t even know her. I have never met her before. I don’t understand why she hates me.”

Bella sighed. “If his sister doesn’t want you, maybe you should move on.”

Jennet shook her head slowly. “I love him.”

But love alone was not enough.

When Samuel came to her house later, she refused to listen.

“Jennet, please just hear me out,” he begged.

“I don’t want to hear anything,” she said.

“I love you.”

“And I love you too,” she replied, tears in her eyes. “But because of your sister… it won’t work.”

She closed the door, leaving Samuel standing outside in silence.

Days passed, and everything began to fall apart.

Samuel stopped eating, stopped smiling, and slowly became weak. One night, he lay on his bed, calling only one name.

“Jennet… Jennet…”

Mariam grew worried.

“Because of a woman, you want to die?” she cried.

But Samuel kept repeating her name.

Finally, fear took over Mariam’s pride. She picked up her phone and called Jennet.

“Please… come. My brother is sick. He keeps calling your name.”
